I just called and got the lens cap shipped for free. I spoke to a very nice csr. She was so polite and sweet.

I just got home with this camera.

It was listed at $109.00 at Circuit City on sale. After convincing the woman to do a price check (she didn't want to and looked like I was stupid when I asked) she came back and said that it was $59.99.

They then had to look for the camera. After about 15 mins I was out of the store with an incredible deal.

Was listed at 109.00 here to. Asked him politely to verify the price and sure enough 59 dolla. One left and one open box. Took him a while to find it and there ended up being 2 unopened boxes and one open box. Got both unopened boxes for work. Comp USA in Ventura, CA had some helpful people there.

Might not hurt to have them check inventory if it is not visible in the display case.

I haven't hooked up the serial cable yet, but was planning on getting a flash card very soon (probably tommorow)

I was wondering how slow is the cable? say I have a 32MB flash card how long would it take to upload the pictures to the computer?

also if its going to be super slow what is a good USB flash reader to get?

ok nevermind I took 1 picture on the highest quality and its taking forever to transfer to the computer.

USB Flash reader here I come... any brand thats the best? I dont want to spend a lot on this. I run Windows XP if that matters.

If you want to pay more and get less then buy the SanDisk CF USB card reader for $24.98 from Staples.com

If you need additional CF cards you could buy 64MB CF for $40 with FREE SanDisk CF USB card reader from Staples.com

Personally I'd go with the Dazzle 6-in-1 USB reader.

yup maxdsp, probably 79+shipping if you go online i went through checkout to figure out which stores had stock and it never said 59 then again u probably did that too gr.

anyways, yea theres a long ass crunch time between shots, about 20 secs? i can only get 6 high quality picts with the default 2mb hope a better cf deal comes along soon

transfer to pc doesn't take long at all well atleast wwhen dumping 2mb u set it to 115200 baud?


dropped mine about 4 feet onto concrete already:Q it survived! i killed the included set of alkalines today maybe the NiHMs i have will last better.

well I called this afternoon. $2.75 shipped... I didn't argue with the guy, and paid them the $2.75. Guess I should have called back, but I didn't. Should be here in 7 days.

BTW the guy was super confused about something. I had to repeat my credit card number to him twice and my zip code to him three times. Wierd...

On Tuesday I picked one up at the CC in Mesa, AZ. It was the last one I saw in the case. The display was marked $59.95. It works OK and the Picture Transfer software on the CD works with WinXP. To get it to transfer photos, you have to go into the Menu (on the camera) and turn on "PC Connect". The transfer took a while but it worked ok. I also called and ordered the lenscap.
