Kodak digital camera, DX4330 3.1MP at staples , here is skinny

Original Price : $299.98
Pricematch to : techsavings.com ( their price is :$263)
Coupon $40 of $200 and another stackable $10 of $100 for total of $50 off.

So

-$263 - 50 is $213 + plus whatever tax(if staples is in your state ,and they are in most states) and shipping next day is free as well.

My total was $231 after tax shipped free next day.

Did you do this B&M or order by phone? If by phone did they also throw in the memory card, I thought it was a B&M deal only?

Thanks

I did it over the phone. And i guess i just had luck that CSR was cool with everything, she didnt even check the camera on other site if it was available or anything, she just took both my coupons, $10 and $40 one, pricematched it %110 and i got the Camera and 64MB SanDisk as well as next day shipping for $231 after tax since there are stores in WA state.

I just got this from OfficeMax B&M. I got a pricematch to staples $299 + 64 MB SD Card. And I used an online coupon for $50 off a $250 purchase. I went to get a Hauppague PVR250. Since they didn't offer it online the manager let me use my online coupon. When the camera rang up it rang up $250 Plus my $50 off and my free Memory Card and TV Card came to $375. After I get my $50 back on the TV Card I got the whole deal for $325. That is $299+150+40 = $489-50-50-50-40=$299 total cost before tax. It's like buying the camera for regular price and getting a TV Card and Memory card for free.

kodak cameras generally have poor ratings. I'm not sure about this particular model, so look into it.

yellowfiero: That's a pretty unfair blanket statement. The DX4900 won several "best of" awards when it was released, and several of their other cameras have been reviewed favorably. I researched them thoroughly before I bought a 4900, and generally found nothing but praise.

I've owned two other models as well, and both of them performed great. Not that I'd take that small anecdote as proof that "all Kodak cameras are great." But I can tell you that some of them certainly are, and this looks like a great deal for a 3.1mp camera.

But as I've said many times before: Don't decide to buy or not buy something based on the brand name. In technology -- particularly in digital cameras -- the guts of one model may well have absolutely nothing in common with the guts of the next. Read reviews on the particular model you're interested in. If possible, go see it in a local store somewhere. Even better, buy it from somewhere that has a friendly return policy, so that you can take it back if it doesn't meet your expectations.

Well just look at it this way, i use digital camera once a week maybe.BUt i still need to have it.Most pictures i take are indoors and they do not need to be "WOW",just ok. So i had choice betwen buying Sony /Olympus and other "great" cameras that are 1.3MP and 2.0MP for 300+ or buy the Kodak DX4330 for 213 and its 3.1mp ...You go and figure it out.

Hey Liquidinferno, I just have a few quick questions about the Kodak DX 4330 deal. Where did you get the $40 coupon and the $10 coupon? And what does B&M stand for? And can you buy it at the store or is it an online deal only? Thanks so much for your help. I'm really excited to get this camera but I'm new at this online buying so please forgive me of my silly questions. I would appreciate it if you e-mail me as soon as possible, I would like to get the camera before the sale ends, at the end of the week I assume. Thanks for posting this deal. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Suni

B&M = brick and mortar (the physical store and not online). You can find some useful info in the How do I? thread Look at my post above and you will see sites that host coupon codes. Some members have other sites in their sigs...just keep an eye out. Hope this helps!

I've Kodak DC265 back in 1999 and it was my first digicam. Even though it was only 1.6 Megapixel but picture quality was very good.

I just read the review and this camera seems to overprocess the picture to much.

But the review is great, I read there before I bought my first digitial camera.

Not a bad camera, but HP has one for $299 also at staples that is 3mp

Also why is everybody switiching to SD memory? I though Compact Flash and Smart Media were King, what is the SD offer, besides making people buy new memory when they upgrade???

Got the camera for about the same price in Phoenix $242 and got the 64 Meg card and the $20 gift certificate. Price matched to techsavings.com (they added in the $6 UPS shipping). They also took the two staples coupons for $30 and $15 as well (search fatwallet.com). All-in-all a good deal. but if you want the full monty the extra card and the $20 gift check the deal ends on the 16th.

Good Luck

Just got mine today. The res is pretty good but the coloration definately looks overprocessed compared to the DC-240 that it's replacing. Gonna play around with it some more this weekend and decide if I want to keep it or not. It is extremely easy to use, not much tweaking though. Opening the card slot door to plug in the USB is kinda awkward. Gotta buy a new AC adapter, it's different from my old Kodak adapter of course! Very compact and light, find myself moving/jerking it just pushing the shutter button down. Anyway, FWIW.
