What are your thoughts about the Kodak DC4800?

I know your thoughts on the Coolpix 950; we also know you recently ordered the Sony DSC-S70. Comments? Comparisons? A $400 deal on the DC4800 sounds hot (e.g., PhotoAlley $100 discount + $100 MIR -- if such a deal comes to pass).

Since most of Kodaks equipment is made by leading manufacturers to Kodaks specifications, it is every bit as good as the competition.I know their high end equipment is manufactured by Nikon and Canon. This camera is a great piece of equipment and maybe a notch above the others mentioned by comparison. The slight problems and lower resolution of the 950 and the slow shutter of the DSC S70 make this one the best of the bunch in that price range.

After using both the kodak 4800 and nikon 950. I would have to say nikon takes slightly better pictures. But kodak is great too. But the nikon is much harder to use than the kodak. Kodak 4800 is very user friendly, any idiot would know how to use it where as nikon950 I still cant figure out some of its features looking through the manual a few times.

The Kodak 4800 is a super camera- I read prob. every review of it before purchasing it 2 months ago, and, I must say, am extremely impressed. I really do think that the 3 megapixel cameras offer better pictures than the 2, and it is very user firendly- easy to use, easy to hold (some, like the Olympus 3030, were really clutzy-feeling in the hand- ok for guys, but big for a woman's hand). Wish I had waited for the $100 rebate....hmmm....

On another note- what is the story with CompUSA pricematching mentioned above? What do they match to? Thanks

you can find something for under $500 + shipping.
total cost will be around $400 anyway.

too bad staples doesn't have it, otherwise, this will be an incredible deal with coupon, pm, and rebate.

This deal sounds pretty good to me.
Another great deal will be the Nikon Coolpix 950 which everyone is raving about. They have it there for only $508. There is a $150 rebate for this item now. Add in shipping and this brings the total for this camera down to $378.
