Photonmanm - You have 30 days to play with the camera and STILL RETURN IT FOR A FULL REFUND at Staples!! You can call customer service and ask for an appeal of the managers decision, especially since they had the camera online a couple of weeks ago. If all else fails, tell the manager that you may be returning the equipment because it's not as good as something else you found for almost the same price. They don't ever want to get back equipment and have to try to sell it as new again, it's really difficult and they often have to discount it, so why not just give you the $40 as you deserve to receive so you'll just go away and they'll have a final sale?

If you go to see the manager, start by asking them questions about themselves and don't say anything. When they finish, ask more questions and just let them keep talking. If you can get them to talk for a long time, they will like you for listening to them and do many things for you, so keep them talking as long as possible and do not say anything, JUST LISTEN for information to ask more questions about. "How did you get to be a manager at such a young age?" "Are you from this area?" "Where did you go to college?" Ask for their advice. "Do you know anything about these camera's?" "Which would you buy?" SCHMOOZE.

Sorry 2 say but I am seeing alot of ugly stuff here.... Hope this is not going 2 turn into another " Neo " case. First above all do not walk into Staples with a print out of this forum. The last time that happen it cost someone their JOB ! Neo's that is.
Please do not shine light on this forum or others like Fatwallet by mentioning code numbers to clerks or flashing print outs of threads.
Staples is already sending out new coupon codes. I saw my first one a couple of days ago. So enjoy and smartly use the ones that r left because it will be the last of them. U can read about it else where in this forum, sorry I am 2 tried 2 search and link it.
BTW u can not just tell a cashier a code number. All of Staple's management recieved a memo Jan 27th " ATTENTION NO VERBAL CODES " from main hqtrs in NY. The memo mention the a$$hole that printed out the thread. That on Dec 21st had the clerk used the stackable codes. Later on hit the same store with friends now armed with a copy of reciept. He also PM copies to all who asked (thus causing the NEW code system). It cost her job @ Christmas. All I am trying 2 say is FIGHT yes ! But make it a clean one. Maybe if u catch a new worker and they may do it 2 please the customer (YOU). But I want u 2 know that u just cause that person his or her job @ the end of the day. Or a 40 deduct from pay.:| After shift is over the draw is checked out in office. Cash,credit reciepts along with COUPONS better be in there.If not the draw is short. 40 bucks is NOT like a dollar either way. Well enough of this.

The reason I stopped in was 2 see if someone saw a better PM yet. Also wanted to post this review on this camera 2 help someone 2 buy or not. While the people that did already purchase can feel good they did.

I just returned from sams, and they have the camera, but it's packaged slightly different. They've changed from a 16Mb CF to a 64Mb CF. The box has the correct UPC number for the rebate, but it's covered with a sticker with a new upc. Is it safe to get this one, peel off the new sticker and send it in? Or will the receipt give it away? thx in advance....

Seattle your post about Sears is interesting and a GOOD ONE ! It may even pan out better, Sear's Christmas sales were crap. So they r throwing out lost leaders (if we r lucky DC4800 maybe one of them). In hopes 2 get u in the store and thus getting your Easter sales.Clothing for the kids etc etc. Which in most Sears u must walk past alot of other items to get to electronics. Every wonder y the MILK is ALWAYS located in the furthest place from front door in a super market ?

I purchased the Kodak Dc3400 last week from Staples for about $250 out the door thanks to PM and the online $40 Staples dicount code. I would not mind trying the same thing with the Dc4800 at Staples but the manager says next time I will need to use an actual coupon print out. Could anyone please email a copy to me? BTW the Dc3400 is a great camera for a 2.1 mega pixel. If the Dc4800 is anything like it, everyone here should be very happy.
I think I will also stop by the local Sam's Club and check out their deal. I will be back later to update everyone.

We are required to collect sales tax for orders shipped to Massachusetts, Missouri, Tennessee, Utah, North Carolina, and South Dakota. We do not collect sales tax for orders billed and shipped to other states.

so deal is the best online so far if you don't live in those states.
