Kofi, Kofi, Kofi, what are you saying? You are just a mouthpiece of the UN. And, what benefit has the UN been for the past 10 or so years?
...UN is now interfering in our local affair. They should concetrate on what they are expert in doing...which is nothing. They cannot even investigate properly the Iraq Oil for Food anomaly/corruption.:|Originally posted by: slyedog

Oh I don't know ... we used various UN Resolutions as a (false) legal basis for going to war in Iraq. Kofi is just setting the record straight.Originally posted by: Tiles2Tech

YOu sicken me with lies deal monkey.
Kofi is nothing, the UN is nothing .... they are corrupt in every way possible. WHEN WILL KOFI ACCOUNT FOR THE OIL-FOR-PALACES PROGRAM?
Are you suggesting we strictly abide by the Geneva Conventions? What should our troops do if someone in a mosque is shooting them, taking hostages, executing civilians? Geneva IS outdated, because we're the only ones with ANY regard for the rules in this conflict. If a lawyer disagrees with this assessment, then I'd fire him because he's an idiot.Originally posted by: DealMonkey
Way to divert the topic, hmmmm? Okay, I'll play your little game. Kofi would clearly be the one to know when the UN Charter was violated or not. Or do you want to go talk to Bush's lawyers? You know, the ones who deemed the Geneva conventions were outdated and didn't apply in the WoT and led to the torture and murder of U.S.-held prisoners? The same lawyers who thought it was OK to hold enemy POWs indefinitely without trial? With no rights whatsoever. Oh yeah, the U.S. has a lot of credibility left after Abu Grahib, NO WMDs in Iraq, NO Osama, NO plan for the peace in Iraq. What little credibility we have left will evaporate once Iraq explodes into a civil war. Did you check out the National Intelligence Estimate that came out this week?
and that is what should make the US the good guy in this conflict, if as it seems to be that the US is dismissing the geneva conventions about rules of war then the line becomes very oh so blurry and puts the US in the same catagory as those they are fightingOriginally posted by: CycloWizard
