The thing is it set a very dangerous precedent. Who is to say the next company that decide to exit the gaming market will not pull this again? And we have seen it happen to smaller title like Skull girl.

No, see if the game is a full game and the company bails the game stays up. It only goes down if it's a demo or a preview for a game that is no longer in development.

I agree completely actually. It sets a very bad precedent. Sure, in this case it was a free demo of sorts, but it was highly regarded and high profile. This could, and at some point WILL happen to paid material. It is only a matter of time. It is an issue, blind people who cry tin foil.

More than likely it was pulled due to licensing, thus why it could be an issue in the future.

there was a leaked beta and leaked final version as well. noticeable difference between the two. i remember having both of them on cdr.

I actually had 2 versions of that game. One was kind of a beta, the other was the final. I liked the beta more honestly. Was a great multiplayer game

you either have them when they pull them, or you don't.

happened with MK2 on ps3. probably others as well.

this is another reason i don't give a shit about digital games and will 100% of the time pick the disc version if it's available.

I think it's no big deal. It would be a very different thing if they were now actively removing titles from the PS4; like the fact I have P.T. already downloaded and it is pulled off.

I only got it this past weekend. Just under the wire! It was an interesting 20 minutes or so, but I got stuck after a while.

You don't get them. Consoles are well on their way to being dumb terminals. Even if processing still stays at the console and isn't shifted to a server like with Playstation Now, everything will be digital and eventually you'll struggle to be able to get old games, so you'll probably see consoles sold with games already on them.
