I bought one a few months back. Lag time is pretty good. Takes nice pictures and the size is great. No complaints and at this price it beats the plastic X20 at any price.

Thanks for the post anyway....picked up a nice leather-like Minotla case for $8 and no shipping!

mind to share where u got this Canon SD100 for $249? I have a Coolpix 3700 but I finds it rather bulgy, so hoping to buy something like the IXUS II or even Optio S. Since this SD100 is somehow rather compact, I would like to know where can it be bought as mentioned. Or anyone knows anywhere can get a Optio S at around this price too?

I bought this camera this past June and am very happy with it. Unlike most cameras which can record video clips, this one isn't limited to 10-15 seconds, it'll record until it fills the card. Quicktime format is a bit annoying, but a minor complaint. Battery life is also surprisingly good.

Minolta makes nice quality digital cameras. Olympus makes even better ones.

FYI I had originally used the minolta dimage xi and while it was a very convenient camera, it's images are not as detailed as canons. And the colors on minolta for people's skin sux. Go with canon for color.
