I have not seen some of the matches, I've been reading the articles at espn. (about the accusations and the scores). Considering how 'big' the world cup really is, its understandable how so many people can be angry. The decisions were made (whether they were right or wrong) and theres no going back. However, that gives none of you the right to say things like 'korea sucks'. I don't post here very often, I just come here to see what kinda deals go on these days.. but after reading this i got offended. Spain, Italy, Portugal...they're all extremely talented teams, and its really too bad that bad calls were made. I do believe Korea played extremely well this year. Considering they're placing last time. I don't think they won even ONE game last time, but to get up to playing italy, that wasn't a fluke. I give alot of credit to their coach. I doubt some of you really meant to generalize your words when you said korea sucks.. I hope you meant the team sucks.. but infact they really don't. They might not be as good as germany, brazil, italy, or spain.. but they sure showed that they know how to play the game. This thread has gone of out context from a deal of tshirts into how the koreans cheated. Despite the fact that things really didnt go the way it should have.. IF you are not 100% sure that the koreans are at fault then let it go. You can assume, but assumptions aren't fact, so don't start pointing fingers everywhere ruining people's reputation. I'd blame fifa if anything. Wanna complain, and make stupid remarks?.. email fifa. dont do it here and piss of people you didn't need to piss off.

My point was that Korea would not get that high without few guys in referee uniform. As I said Korea and Japan were prepared well.
I blame referees and FiFA. They already being pointed and refuse to even review videos with clear proofs
M. Platini offered to put an additional ref. behind the lines, so side ref. can do their off sides more correctly. may be this will help.
and yes, Korean T-shirt is not a hot deal

granted those scores were counted, korea would have gone home earlier...but dont forget, when you make one change it changes the outcome of both sides.. If a score was allowed, then both sides would be playing even harder. I didnt see much of today's game but I would expect that the team who scored would focus more on defense than on offense. The team with no score needs to focus more in scoring than defending. You can't judge the outcome of certain things by assuming what would happen if things went the way you thought it should have. Yet, i wasn't talking directly at you, so i hope you didnt think i was attacking you. I was talking to the people who made retarded comments, and pointing fingers at korea. I agree with you.. judges made stupid calls, but if they didn't that doesn't guarentee the other team's victory. You tamper with one variable and it throws everything off.

Futhermore, the reason I posted here was this. With Soccer aside and perhaps even this forum, its sad that when a certain race wins against another, people start pointing fingers and making unneccessary comments. I've heard many racial remarks against the referees as well. Even with the whole korea thing aside.. this happens all the time.. Someone wins.. people say 'ah it was luck.. those ' insert race here' suck.. they just got lucky.. followed by some unneccessary comments. but then I guess thats all because were imperfect ...right? or could we all just at least try?

its a long story hkssupra69, the world cup is an extremely emotional event... its every 4 years.. people cry when their team wins.. . people cry when their team loses... its skyrockets nationalism.. but it also leaves room for racism as well. its understandable...but some people take it way to far...

BTW, Maradona was one of the doped dogs in a worldcup match(I don't remember the year when he got caught).
No matter what he says, he is another loser. He was a great player until he used dopes.
But... Not any more. He should be ashamed of himself. No one would listen to him.

Clearly, referees are men. They can make mistakes. It is universally agreed that their calls are held whether it's wrong or correct (as long as they are not bribed). That is the assumption when everyone plays under their authority. Korea has no control over deciding who's gonna be referees on certain games. got no money to bribe.
But, why the hell, a born-in-germany referee comes out to run Korea vs German game?? However, Korean people do not blame too much about it, not like some crying-baby-type Italians. Spanish, Portuguese are better in that sense. The players and the coach gotta blame themselves first. They certainly had no "I am ready to die" attitude in the field. THAT'S THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE WITH KOREAN TEAM. The Italian players are too noble to assume death in a battlefield???

Hey, man, Al Pacino, said in the movie "On Any Given Sunday", "On any given sunday, you can lose or you can win. But can you lose like a man?" Guys, learn from Al Pacino!!!
Playing after a call is made is not playing like a man.

First of all, I agree tha Maradona should never start using drugs but he never used them to play, beleive me he hever need them, He got caught with ephedrine, not drugs? That is now days in almost any fatburner vitamin complex. The year? that was 1994, and if you don't remember that is because maybe you leave in another country. That World Cup was here in the States. And I can tell you what happend to him, that year, World Cup 1994, the FiFA needed an excuse to have people coming to the USA to see it, so what better excuse is to have Maradona playing. Then they just made the test and everything else is history, of course the FIFA is it has big corruption inside.
Ok, if you asked me , he should never use drugs, but that's he's personal life, or do you judge any fo the rockers that the used them? No they are Heroos....heheheh
just crap, he was and will be for a long time the gratest player of the world, and I can tell you something, watching a World Cup without him i not the same.

Maradona is just another victim of FIFA, never the less, the greatest player ever, and he never needed drugs.

refs make mistakes, sure, but constantly favors one team, one of the hosts? Italy got 5 perfectly good goal disallowed in 3 games, considering Germany only scored 3 goals in its last 3 games, that is a lot. I was a korean fan to start with, cheering for them all along, until I saw the game against Italy. Italy did deserve to be defeated, but not in the back.

if you don't follow soccer or never even watch the game or know anything about FIFA, FIFA has a long history of corruption. Long before the world cup 2002, some already predicted that Korea will be final 4. Sepp Blatter's relection story made people guessing long ago and Korea's CHUNG Mong-Joon is aiming for the next president. If you had no idea what I am saying, maybe you just can't say there is nothing going on behind the games. Personally, I think they gonna kill the world cup sooner or later...

Yup. This is the worst WorldCup I've ever seen. The refs are completely blind. So many obvious cheats and no calls.
