Holy balls that's an amazing deal! Realize that similar screens sell for $1200-$1300. That's one hell of a screen for that price.

Two issues with this monitor compared to PG348Q.

Warranty? How long? And if you get a monitor with dead pixels can you return it based on that reason alone?

Otherwise, this thing looks sweet.

Hmmm. 8ms G2G isn't very good for a gaming monitor. But at that price, this might be a buy for me until a suitable OLED is available. I can't take my Dell U2410 any more. Too small, too much IPS glow. Too few other options on the horizon.

That pixel warranty also seems to be garbage. 3 stuck pixels allowed and no limit on dead? If you buy third party on Amazon how much recourse do you have for returns? https://www.amazon.com/Microboard-M340CLZ-3440x1440-REAL100HZ-Monitor/dp/B01M5DVR94

Hmm. The Samsung CF791 is out in a month @ $1000 MSRP. I expect it could be had for $900 fairly soon after, so $200 may be worth the marginal extra features and better warranty.

I have no idea about the 3rd party through Amazon. As long as the reviews are favorable, I'm hoping to snag a CF791 for $800 - $900 sometime within the next year. I'll probably buy from Amazon since they're supposed to be great about monitor returns for any reason.

I have a XR341CK as well and I didn't pay over one thousand for it from Amazon. $700 is not bad, but I'd much rather have the Acer for not that much more.

I will admit that the 2 QNIX panels I have at work are fantastic though, so if these were closer to $500 I'd certainly consider trying one.

On the box G2G numbers are basically worthless. It's (usually) dwarfed by processing lag at the scaler, so input lag numbers will be very different from G2G.

It's VA so slower G2G is the price you pay for much better blacks and contrast

Less to do with lag and more about ghosting and such. I typically expect 4ms out of a VA on box specs and yes I realize actual results may vary. May have been an error tho, I saw this panel listed at 4ms elsewhere.

It's not even so simple any more for ghosting because of all the different pixel overdrive techniques out there. It's just not very simply altogether. TFTCentral measures ghosting as well. The primary drivers of ghosting reduction are: 1) Maximum HZ, 2) Panel Tech, 3) Pixel Overdrive algorithm
