Kryptonite bike locks vulnerable to ballpoint pens.

Apparently the guy was able to open up his u lock with a ballpoint pen.

Sorry if a repost. Searched lock, bike, and kryptonite.

While that's certainly a problem, anybody who leaves a good bike locked to something is a fool.

My bike is pretty low end (GT i-Drive 6.0) but I won't leave it in anything less than a bike locker.

This doesn't affect my old-school Kryptonite (fortunately). The only bike I ever lock up anywhere is my commuter (which is pretty much a beater). The rest of my bikes are either indoors or under my butt at any given time.

I suspect my grammatical skills are superior to yours. My statement was a parody of the text on the website that broke the story about defeating CD copy protection with a Sharpie. I don't normally place quotation marks around my own statements.

Interesting.. I have an old school Evolution 2000 too. And to think that I occasionally lock it outside my apartment which strangers have free access to :Q
