Purpose
I was tired of lugging my rather large and heavy computer around to LAN parties so building a SFF computer seemed like the best way to go about it. Since this was going to also serve as my main gaming and general use computer I needed the case to have the ability for multiple hard drives while still maintaining the ability to use a full size GPU. While this case can hold 6 hard drives, one of the cages must be taken out for a full length card but 4 drives was all I needed so it worked out quite well.
Parts
I already owned the H50 and the HDD's so I did not include it in this picture.
The Build
I’m going to see if the short cable kit from Silverstone will work with this power supply and if so try to clean up the wire mess. If it doesn’t I may shorten the cables by hand or purchase a short depth Silverstone power supply and use the PC Power and Cooling 600w elsewhere. Sadly with the case being this small there is almost zero room to place and route cables into. I typically pride myself with cable management and spend hours trying to make it look very good. While the hours were spent on this build, and looks much better than it did when it was first built, it still needs some work.
Video card side
A short cable kit here would really make this look a whole lot better, especially right there in the front of the case. That short depth power supply is starting to look better haha.
Top view
You can tell that the air coming from the left front 92mm fan is going to be blocked some but the only area for the cables is between the hard drive cage and the back of the video card where you see the yellow PCI-E 16x connector going in.
Power supply side
Using the short SATA cables really helped out a lot.
Close up of the modular connectors under the video card
The modular plugs have great clearance and the position of them made it possible to use a modular 160mm power supply and a full length card which isn’t really recommended for this case.
Back of the computer
The H50 seems to make a nice fit here on the back and although the fan orientation isn’t ideal (pulling in fresh air from the outside and pushing it through the heat sink, instead of pushing case air out the back) although it does work quite well.
It looks pretty small next to that Laserjet 1160.
Fits on the shelf quite nicely if I do say so myself
