KT7 and USB ...one more time...

Yes, I have done a search and read all threads on this. And I have followed advice of Paul's Unofficial KT7 site and USBman, but still havin probs...

Deal is this- USB was working fine (though my system was freezing for other reasons- most likely relating to my Geforce2 mx card -inno3d-)...after one freeze, i rebooted only to find my usb ports not being recognized.

I have tried bios fixes, 4in1 drivers, memory, voltage adj...etc. (see above), but none has worked so far...just wondering if anyone else experienced this/ or has new advice?

system: t-bird 800 (not o/c), kt-7 raid, inno3d gfrc2mx (currently @ 195,200, but- system freezes when card not o/c too), sblive!,256 cl2 ram, plextor cd-rw, cdrom...

o- one other thing- i have noticed- duplicate monitor listing (under device manager) sometimes pops up for ibm p72 monitor- anything to worry bout?

You do have USB support enabled in the BIOS, right? Try clearing the CMOS battery on your BIOS and see if that works, otherwise maybe your KT7 is defective.

No that happens tome sometimes too. It's funny.

I had something similar. I deleted the unrecognized entry in the device manager, unplugged everything from the usb hub and controller, and rebooted. On reboot it SHOULD find your usb root and then you can start plugging things in again. This happened when I installed a microsoft precision pro usb joystick.
