After many trials and memory errors I finally got my system running sweet. Here's what I did.
1) I suspected that the memory might not be seated well so I moved the memory to bank three ( I have only one 128MB hyundai pc-100 DIMM).
2) I moved my Voodoo 3 PCI video card to slot 2.
3) I reset the CMOS and rebooted. Set the BIOS settings to I where they would normally be if I weren't having problems.
Voila! Everything is working well. I have three hard drives (two ATA-66 and an ATA-100), a CD-RW, and a CD-ROM all packed nicely into the box. A word of advice - if you intend on using both ATA-33/66 and ATA-100 drives, the active partition must be on the master drive of the older ATA-33/66 drive. You can still install your OS on the ATA-100 but the boot system must be the ATA-33 device on the old IDE channels.
