Rodney,
EDITED OUT PART ABOUT P-III PRICE...Realized you were talking Canadian dollars......
Also, on your PCChips M748LMRT motherboard, you said that PS/2 mouse support wasn't available and that USB would take up the single PCI slot. Not true...the spec page says "Provides ATX Form card for USB, PS2 Mouse and fast IR interface (optional)". This is just like the other "features" of the motherboard (Sound, video, LAN, etc) that have a cable that plugs into the motherboard...the ATX Form Card is cheap (under $10).
I have an older PCChips Socket-7 Motherboard (with ATX form card) in the spare machine and it works great...however PCChips are CHEAP boards with VERY high RMA rates....on mine, the 75Mhz bus speed does NOT work...even when underclocking the CPU. This is what Directron (who sells these boards) has to say about them...
"Return Rates: 10.7% (very high)
Warning: Very high return rates showing poor reliability. We do not recommend it!"
Gotta roll the dice sometimes!
