My commute/work vehicle is approaching the point where I am needing some new rubber.
How are Kumho's?

I have two sets, one on a 2003 Corolla, and another on a 2006 Mazda 3. Both sets are an excellent value and provide great performance. I would recommend checking out some of the testing on specific tire models on tirerack.com.

i bought a set from tire rack back in march, they are doing fine for me
1997 Saturn SC-1 , it takes a somewhat odd size, costco/walmart rarely have them, so i tried tire rack and had a good experience with a "preferred" installer . no problems and no hassles getting them shipped directly to the installer and getting them installed.

the total cost was a wash (compared to walmart/douglas tires or whatever the cheap ones costco carries) , so i am happpy

If I went with the Kumho's, they would be the Kumho Power Star 758's. (P175/70/TR14's)
They would be going on a front wheel drive, Saturn SC1 coupe.

Some of the reviews posted are ok, but there is no testing data for this particular tire.

If I get some advice to steer away from the Kumho's , I'll probably go with some Yokohama AVID T-4's instead.

that's actually the only type of tires I bought for my 17" rims when I was running them. THey were lower profile as well. Cheap price and never had a problem, I would recommend them.

I'm pretty sure those are the same tires (different size, though) that I'm looking at for my 73 Super Beetle.

I have some Kumho Ecsta 275/45-20" wrapped around my dubs.
The ride is awesome! They feel like the stock tires on my TrailBlazer.

I've had both, and liked both. The Yokohamas lasted forever, IIRC.

i bought some kumho's 225/45/18 to replace my michelin pilot sports. i can't complain about the tires, especially considering i saved $520 on the set.

Very good experience with this brand.

Talked with two mechanics and they like them too.

if you're looking for a bargain tire for a decent price, I'd suggest sumitomo over Kumho's

bother are very good, but Sumitomo is much better in wet/rainy conditions then Kumhos'

Great value for the money. They perform above average too. You really can't go wrong with them.

I'm not a tire specialist, but I have a set of ~$250 Kumhos on my Accord.

It was day and night difference, but that could largely be because they are new.

I am very happy with mine.

Kuhmo 795's have a Manufacturers Road Hazard Warranty for the first 20% of treadlife.

My wife has managed to trash two of these tires hitting curbs and running over large chunks of metal. Free replacement both times!!!

I'm looking at a set of Kumho ECSTA ASXs for my Mazda 3s GT Hatch. I've heard nothing but good things about these tires over at the Mazda3forums.

My stock RS-As are TRASH. 16,000 miles and they're almost done for (and I don't even track 'em or spin the fronts).

i went through a couple sets of kumho's and thought they were great. then i moved on to some yoko's, which were ever better if not a bit expensive. currently i'm trying out some dunlop's, but am not enjoying them as much as the yoko's. if anything, i'm probably going to back to the yoko's.

I had some summer tires from them, lasted about 20k miles, and were not good in the winter, but i guess that makes sense being summer tires, good traction on dry roads, other than that nothing real great to say about them.
