NFS, you are usually a bright person and talk about some good stuff, but this was about the most ignorant thing you could have said.

No reason to dog Kurt. Just because you didn't like him or you don't understand people with bi-polar or manic depression doesn't mean he sucks. You need to educate instead of hate.

Ok, in the event he DID kill himself....

Kurt didn't simply just "comit suicide". This was a guy who was bi-polar. Do you know what bi-polar is and what it does to people? Bi-polar is a mental disorder/condition that gives violent mood swings (severe highs and lows), feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt , insomnia or hypersomnia nearly every day, fatigue or loss of energy, diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness, psychomotor agitation , significant weight loss when not dieting or weight gain, markedly diminished, depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day interest or pleasure in all, or almost all.

Now those are the top 5-6 criteria to meet to start the diagnosis of Bi-Polar/Manic Depression.

Then there are the manic episodes that these people go through a few times a year. Sometimes these episodes are either high wired or severely deep depression.

Ok now realize these people live with this their whole lives. Also realize that 60% of the people who have bi-polar also end their lives in suicide. Now knowing that these people go through their entire lives, with their mind thinking things they don't want to think about, going into severe depressions and violent mood swings that they themselves cannot control.

Hey guess what!! People with Cancer don't deserve sympathy either. The death rate between cancer and bi-polar is about the same. The people themselves cannot control either disease.

I got 10$ if you spent 2 days inside of the head of a bi-polar person, you'd start your own charity to raise funds to help these people. Imagine hating yourself, being highly depressed and feeling like the world around you is going to crumble. That's just a START. With absolutely no control. See if that's a world you would want to live in.

Educate, don't hate.

FYI i don't have bi-polar if that's what your wondering. My aunt does and i learned a lot about it cause we all loved her.

Doubtful. If you equate technical playing ability to talent, then maybe.

But if you are talking about the ability to write excellent songs with great melodies and unbelieveable emotion, then you are way off.

oh yeah, Kurt Cobain was very talented, even for everything that was going on inside his head and his life.

I want to see everyone here that thinks he's talentless to create one song, complete with lyrics, writing the song, singing, and guitar playing. It takes talent to do all of that and he did it very well. Maybe it's not the music you listen to? Everyone who says he sucks, list your music, and i'm sure we can find some talentless crap in your music too.

He was a great musician and songwriter. It takes talent to produce all of that.

i always get annoyed when people say kurt cobain is the greatest this and that....because he isnt...i get enraged when i listen to morons say that he has no talent. anyone with an ounce of sanity cannot say that kurt cobain has no talent. i mean frankly are u stupid or are u trying to garner attention by being different. give the man his due. he had great songs.

popularity = talent?? Where did you pull that one from? If that's true how can you explain all of the great undiscovered bands playing out there? Turn off MTV and go out to see a few shows in person or check out the unsung zeros or the sloppy meateaters. There are lots and lots of great undiscovered bands that aren't popular but have loads of talent.
