i dont' think it's just that.

tom cruise movies have an event feel to them whether you enjoy them or not, kurt russel movies don't.

I'd have to say Breakdown was his best.

Narc was good, but Training Day was an overrated movie and then some. Dark Blue had its moments, but it wasn't anything stellar though.

It probably has more to do with his politics than anything. He's a stanch libertarian with a VERY conservative fiscal side and is highly anti-socialist.

This doesn't go over well with the Hollywood "elite."

i don't know, bottom line is box office numbers rule hollywood and kurt russell movies tend to draw.

i can't think of a movie he's been in where i thought the film was terrible.

i still think it's more because we think of him as the guy next door the way we did when he was in all the disney films. i grew up with his disney films.
