Oh from the WaPo article just released Kushner is fucked if it plays out. Explains Mueller teams recent inquiries about him. Also talked to Qatar about investing in his businesses. Countries asked for him specifically as he was inexperienced and easily manipulated.

Yup. China played him like a fiddle. Kid is a lightweight. And really no less competent than King Dongle.

A security clearance can take a long time, a very long time. Depending on a lot of factors. We've had people take up to a year to get theirs. Took me 10 months. Granted, he may be "fast tracked", but you still have to do your job.

If he lied, misled, intentionally left out information, he should have it pulled. Nobody should be above the rules.

Sorry, but for top admin officials, this stuff is handled during the transition. Occam's razor suggests that these criminals in the Trump empire have had real trouble getting theirs because:

1) utter incompetence
2)well, they are actually criminals with massive debts to several foreign entities which creates insane leverage against them. So, you know, the most likely explanation that everyone already knew for many, many, many years. Facts. Important to consider.

Remember that the FBI has been investigating these peoples' activities for some time. ...and not necessarily directly so. It's weird when you are investigating alleged foreign spies and agents, and Trump/Kushner people just keep showing up in your radar, meeting with those people that you are investigating, eh? Strange how that happens....several years later: Oh, those same people now think they should be heading the US government? Uh...no. You guys call that "political bias! WAAAh!" Adults call that Law Enforcement doing their jobs to protect the country from enemy agents.

Shame that you didn't offer the same considerations to Hillary Clinton. Still cool with the DNC email hacks?

What consideration was that? If you ever paid attention, I was never ok with any sort of hack. I also said that I suspected that the Repubs has the same sort of shenanigans, but didn't get exposed. I don't doubt shady shit happened with both campaigns. Politics is a dirty game.

I can understand why Kushner was given access to top security briefings. Trump needed him to help him make sense of what was going on in these briefings.

He had to amend his Foreign contacts forms three or four times, he added, iirc 100 contacts with Russians. The last time there was a backlog like this was over 20 years ago.
Notice the common thread. They always forget about meeting with Russians. Remember Jared went to Russia to set up a back channel that would be secret from out own intel agencies. He conveniently forgot that one.

Funny but pretty irrelevant. The President can share info with whomever he chooses

I imagine getting an intelligence briefing second-hand through Donald Trump would be kind of like reading it from a stereotypical teenage girl's diary: Interpersonal relationships are a bitch when you're still growing up.

Oh... one can only imagine the twist Trump would add to what he shares with Jared.
Trump: Never mind reading the actual report Jared, lets just say it involved space aliens, rapist illegals, fat chicks, Obama's fake birth certificate, and Hilary sleeping with Muslims.
There. Your informed.

More likely that Kushner is either actively corrupt or a huge security risk due to his large debts.

This one. Something to do with 666 fifth avenue. Apparently he took a 1.8 billion dollar loan to purchase it and overpaid. Now he is in a huge amount of debt and has already had meetings with foreign financiers which in itself would mean nothing but because kushner has applied for a high level clearance. It's a serious problem. Anything that can be used as leverage is a serious problem.

Which is why he was denied a high level clearance. There was also a report of US intelligence agencies being aware that countries like china are actively looking to exploit kushner due to his lack of foreign policy experience and business acumen....uh I mean debt.

This is just my personal opinion but the way the donald has approached foreign policy with his blatant nepotism. Rather than hiring the best people for the job makes him come across as politically naive.

Pretty sure his Secrets got to be interim, cause he's never going to get one unless the orange one sticks his neck out and Omni Domni's one for him. Unfortunately, Dumpfs just smart enough not to make that move.

That's not what I have heard. While you go through the process you cannot have access to classified information. Do you know why? It's because you haven't been cleared to have access to the pertinent level of classified information and even once you have been granted a clearance. You cannot access that information unless you have a legitimate need to. Even if the information is available at your classification level.

At least that's how professionals do it. Or so I have heard.....

Are the minutes at his meetings when he travels, like in Israel this last week, always recorded and the public knows everyone he is meeting with and the details of these meetings? Dollars to Donuts he is only making these trips specifically for quid pro quo to help him out of personal debt. He's not receiving a salary in the admin, so I wonder if that creates some kind of official buffer? ...but then I would think his earlier temporary security clearance would remove any kind of buffer.

That's not my experience. I had an interim TS for a while when I first worked in my ship's radio shack until my actual clearance was processed and I could definitely access classified information. I mean you couldn't enter the space without one unless it had been sanitized.

I had to have a guy hang out in my office for almost a year waiting for TS before he could get on the platform that he needed to get to. And no, they would not give him an interim. It should have happened sooner, but his wife had some credit issues.

I don't doubt that. It can be done different ways in aus we have different types of TS and secret clearances. It depends on the vetting. Some go to the point of putting the applicant through a psych evaluation. Doing background checks on their family and in laws all sorts of crazy shit.*

When I worked in defence. People had to wait until their clearance was issued before accessing classified information. Prior to defence I worked for the ATO and I had to get a national security clearance before I could access tax payer information in the database.

EDIT: If they travel overseas for a holiday they have to brief the site security officer before going. Then when they get back they have to do a debrief. Crazy.

Yep. When someone was waiting for a clearance were I used to work. Management would just have them do whatever until their clearance came through.

As long as it didn't involve classified information.

MSNBC just ran a nice little montage of Canidate Trump going after Hillary as a security risk, we need to only provide access to secretes to people who have been vetted, we need to lock down access to secretes, etcetera.

I don’t have time, someone please dig up an old Hillary email server thread and ask whomever posted what their thoughts are with Jared having access to intel that he has not been properly vetted to see and the warnings about him being ignored.
This isn’t saying Hillary didn’t make a bad call it’s to hold Trump accountable to what he said numerous times.

Is anyone thinking about the burden that these clowns are causing for Robert Mueller's team?
