Kyocera 6035 details

The deal is not advertised on the web or in the store. You have to call your OfficeMax stores to locate available stock. If you call stores out of your area some will ship them to you for free. I even know of one case where a local OfficeMax had one shipped from another store. It's been going on for just over a week so supplies are getting slim.

Activation with Sprint PCS is handled separately.

You have to call an OfficeMax retail store, confirm availability and confirm the price. It is not an advertised special or close out. I have verified three separate purchases at the $250 price and the $100 gift certificate. (The gift certificate isn't instant, you have to mail in a form.)

The activation rebate is available through OMax/Sprint, just picked one of these up, the sales folks make a little $ on these even @ the discounted price, this is pretty cool for $50. The Phone/PDA alone is $390 on Sprint's website.

TechTv review on the Samsung SPH-I300

Price is not set but the article says $350 to $500. No details on battery life. It looks like a nice unit with the color display. It doesn't use the "flip-phone" design. The Kyocera's dialing pad folds over the front of the PDA providing some protection. My guess is the Samsung screen would get dirty from pressing against the ear/cheek during phone use.

Been following the Samsung I300 here. The folks who are responding participate actively in the Kyocera threads also on the site (quite a few Kyocera owners post there).
