This is baffling. He is basically getting hell from everyone across all sectors. I'm always amazed how strong the right wing culture of victimhood is that even when a democrat is getting attacked from all sides all you can do is talk about how persecuted conservatives are.

The conversation about this in OT is much more grounded in reality. Basically it boils down to his ex mistress attempting to entrap him and perhaps recording him without his consent which is illegal in California. A woman being scorned by a woman scorned.

Democrats can be assholes too, but notice how nobody is rallying around and defending Sterling, and the NAACP chapter has cancelled the award. That's the difference. You don't have MSNBC running to his defense, organizing rallies and screaming about religious persecution and government intrusion.
The difference between the two threads is Londo and a couple others here questioning whether the story is in fact accurate. Everyone in that thread believes the story is accurate and no-one there has even attempted to enable or defend him.

When the tape has been authenticated and it's proven to be him, I will join the bandwagon and call for sanctions against him. However, my bet is all those that have posted in here and other places won't believe it should the NBA not be able to authenticate the tape/prove it's Mr Sterling much less admit to being wrong on the subject.
