The PCs where in this special room in the library that just opened, it's only open a couple hours, it also has 2 3D printers and a poster printer, I went there to use the poster printer to make this poster below:

Let's stick to the topic and let us try to imagine how HARD it must be to sit right next to a 4090, getting HARD thinking about all the HARD fun to be had.

WTF is wrong with you?

Don't you worry. L.A. is the capital of smash and grabs. That library will soon have 3 busted up high end PCs, and no 4090s.

They got scammed by a local punk kid. LA kids are such perfect scammers I tell you!

I like how the thread just devolved into morons spouting bigoted shit and other idiocy.

That's still a Lenovo pre-built, although the library probably paid close to $4k each.

Nice to see that a $4k high end PC comes with a $15 CPU cooler. Also looks like Lenovo included a $1 mouse pad from its 2010 era stockpile.

Looks like a Lenovo branded all-in-one water cooler for the CPU? It's probably the library's own mouse pad, plus, who cares? This isn't for max in/sec movement for competitive gaming.

The money or equipment was probably donated or something anyway. Intel donated stuff for similar at the public libraries here in Phoenix for instance (I think they have a coding program for kids). Although it does look like they have a pretty neat setup in their Octavia Lab, with digital media workstations, VR setup, 3D printers, laser cutter, photography studio, even sewing machines and vinyl cutter. Neat, and exactly the type of stuff a modern library, especially one for one of the largest cities in the world should have. We had media labs with high end Macs (probably $5-10k each all told, with one or two 30in Cinema Displays as well) in the media lab in the college library I worked at.

In case some of the knuckle dragging jerkoff dumbfucks present in this thread aren't aware, you can rent Blu-rays, audiobooks, e-books, and even access digitally to movies and music (local library to me I get vouchers to own MP3s from a Sony Music service; I forget the exact amount, but its at least $10 a year worth, and I think I can stream music off there for free, as well as some other) among many other things (some have actual gaming programs, like I think there was weekly Minecraft group and other, I want to say Intel had like a mini-course for teaching basic game programming during spring break one year). And there are book clubs and other for adults. Libraries are fucking rad.

The VRcomputer DOES have Steam...wonder why....

You can CHECK OUT ANYTIME YOU LIKE, BUT YOU(LIBRARY WARES) CAN NEVER LEAVE.

Remember peeps, LA is one of the arts capitals of the world. You never will see another place like it, where the powerful, influential all congregate in the likes of Beverley Hills like LA. And as such, there's always a new batch of supporting workers, writers, etc aspiring to hit it somewhere on the scene like Hollywood, or the music industry. Even the hood makes money from music there.

Stop Hotel California'ing me LA. I'd like to stay in all three American music capitals, LA, Nashville, NY

Nothing bigoted about the part of the more gritty parts of town. The hospital gets good business from gunshot wounds. Not every place has such a lively shoot-em-up scene.
