Brain damage ball should be banned from the whole country. Who even watches this crap anymore? why not just go on live leak and watch people kill/burn/torture each other if you are really into that kind of crap? You are literally watching people bash their brains into mush for your own entertainment. What kind of F'd up person are you to watch that and enjoy it? It's 60% commercials anyway. Live leak has NO COMMERCIALS

You're heartless. Think of the children and go watch some beheadings on live leak. At least they are already dead. This is more like like watching a live stream of somebody bashing their head into a concrete wall, punctuated by messages brought to you by Pepsi and McDonalds.

Good thing that the traffic problems have been solved there and that there is no longer a huge homeless problem.

That was going to be an issue regardless. At least now the area is going to be revitalized and there will be more tax dollars to play with.

Can I just watch the beheadings during commercials?

More like $5B according to Forbes.

One thing to keep in mind is that this is much more than just a sports stadium. It has a bunch of office space, retail, a casino and even residential space included in the project.

Meh, stupid people hurting other stupid people? I'll allow it. I find it incredibly dumb, but economically speaking, there is a shitload of money here - and a shitload of tax revenue as well. Think of all the costs concerning ticket sales alone - add on top of that merchandise sales, food sales at the games, advertisers, the lists go on and on and on.

I stopped watching football a few years back - and in the last couple years I only played fantasy for some fun while bored. I never watched a single game the last 2 seasons (even the super bowl). This year I'm not even playing fantasy.

As long as the taxpayers dont have to pay for it, the Rams can spend what they want

I agree but seeing from how new stadium costs have been done in the past, I find it hard to believe they agreed to these costs without getting a tax break.

I will never understand this shit - as to WHY people are so stupid as to pay ridiculous amounts to live next to a stadium.

I've seen it recently with outlet malls - they either make apartments ontop of the stores - or next door to the mall. Who the FUCK enjoys spending shitloads of money for an overpriced apartment, all just to live next to a shopping center with tons of loud and fat people walking around buying shit?

I guess that's 'Merica for you - true definition of money burning a hole in your pocket, a fool and their money are soon parted, etc...

I couldn't agree more personally but I bet they are going to sell out of pre-constructs the day they start selling them. There is the entire "prestige" thing for rich assholes.

The crazy thing about stadiums is that it's paid for by the tax payers. How the hell is this a thing? The league/team should be the ones that pay for it. It's basically the same idea as a corporate HQ for a company. The company is the one that should pay for it. I never realized this until John Oliver made a segment on it. It's completely absurd.

The team is the one paying for it in this case.

They will.

Tax breaks do figure into NFL stadium plan in Inglewood
http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-stadium-tax-break-20150113-story.html

Shrug, still seems like a great deal for Inglewood, from the article you linked:

"There are no tax dollars going toward private infrastructure," he said. "The only thing that will happen is when we are making $25 million that we never would've had — in excess of that even — will we start to pay back what was basically loaned to us by the developers."

Not this time, private money is paying for this one and it is by FAR the most expensive stadium in the US. They are even footing the upfront costs of public infrastructure and the taxpayers don't have to pay them back until they start making $25M a year in tax revenue.

That's just it, they typically aren't rich. They are standard middle class millenials that should be playing smart with their money, but it's just burning a hole in their pocket.

As far as apartments near shopping malls that is, I'm not 100% sure the demographics of someone renting near a stadium, but I would suspect it would be the same. The rich aren't stupid with their money generally, that's why they are rich. It's our retarded middle class that never wants to advance in life.

I mean just relating this back to concerts and tickets... I took one look at the prices of guns n roses reunion tour and laughed at the thought of paying $200-500 each ticket for a couple hours of shitty seats and some good music and overpriced crap food and beer. I Would rather worry about having a nicer house that I live in every day.
