The place where i work makes the employee sign a agreement when they give you a laptop. It states any damage to the unit they will charge you $1,300 or if you dont pay it will be removed from your paycheck.

Funny part is the laptops cost the company around $800 each.

I bet the laptops you use are better than the shitty desktop I have to develop giant enterprise apps. I spend hours just rebooting my local server and all IT ever does is tells me to clear the cache and run cleanup which I can't do unless I start it before I go home and leave it on over night.

You won't believe how much I would enjoy my work more if I had a better functioning pc.
