Next time you think about calling a state the lamest, why don't you consider what part of the state you are talking about. The norther part of Jersey is nothing like the south, I live in a town where the average price of new real estate is valued at $692,000 according to the latest study which was about 5 months ago. The whole souther area houses many of the athletes from Philadelphia sports teams. I can go on and on about what Southern Jersey is all about, trust me there is plenty here to do if you have the money, and it's most definately not lame!!!!

California has the highest per-capita income, and is the second to none in terms of economic might, and importance. Chances are, much of the toys you people are running on right now, were designed here. Much like New York, we have constant exposure to the outside world. Consequently, New England and California residents tend to be much more liberal (i.e., open-minded, worldly, well-informed). Just observe the distribution of high-quality universities throughout the country. Where are the Ivy Leagues? Where are the best public schools (UCs)? I've lived in New Jersey, Wyoming, and St. Louis. I can say that California is by far my favorite, and my ex-Texan friend here concurs.

Edit: St. Louis is sinfully boring.

AN IDENTITY OF ITS OWN.

God even hick states have their own identity. Jersey is either a suburb of Philly, or a suburb of NYC. The less said about central Jersey....probably the better.
