I don't think it's former Californians and Texans that are voting for their former state, I think it's mostly people who don't like Californians and Texans. Wyoming is lame because it's a big fat piece of land with less people than Washington, D.C. Their votes count 3 times as much in a presidential election as a Californian's.

Granted, using my revised theory, Wyoming is undeniably lame. But couldn't the same reasoning be used against, say, Idaho or the Dakotas?

New theory: Lameness is regional, like say the lameness of the mid-atlantic, the midwest, the south, the north-east...but votes for regional lameness are split between half a dozen states or so. So the large land area of Califonia and Texas concentrates their lameness votes. But if that's the case, Alaska should be winning. I mean, it's sitting in the corner of the map in its own little box, just off the coast of California. How much lamer can you get?

As I write this, I note there are no votes for Colorado. Someone needs to vote for CO and knock those smug Coors-drinking mile-high #$%&#@ down a few thousand feet.
