The Cav's are a great NBA team, doesn't mean I want to watch them play the Cubs in a baseball game.
Plenty of people wanted to see Michael Jordan play baseball

Yeah, that would be so cool! Watch Conor throw away $100 million to kick Floyd Mayweather!couple of MMA guys want McGregor just to headkick Mayweather because it would be awesome

And he wasn't very good at it, was he? And it's not like he was selling out minor league parks all over the south.Plenty of people wanted to see Michael Jordan play baseball

ridiculous. I don't understand how the odds are so close either, it seems suspicious...even with braindead ufc fans better on mcgregor you'd think the sharps would be dumping cash on mayweather at -600
you see a wider spread on legit fights
His team set a home attendance record for the season of nearly 500k and the league attendance nearly tripled to nearly 2.5m.And he wasn't very good at it, was he? And it's not like he was selling out minor league parks all over the south.
I read that a betting company release that like 70%+ of bets were on McGregor, but like 90% of the money was on Floyd.ridiculous. The Birmingham Barons sold out every home game with Jordan on the team, IIRC.And he wasn't very good at it, was he? And it's not like he was selling out minor league parks all over the south.
I can't see Mayweather winning this fight.
You don't need to see it. Just listen. You should be able to hear McGregor wheezing after about round 3, and then a lot of squishy noises and then a thud.
I've been watching McGregor's rise since 2013, and I think he is going to win handily. Will be quoting this post on 8/26.
I think people see this Irish dude with dumb tattoos named McGregor and they think he's just a sloppy brawler with 1 trick. In reality, his striking is some of the most precise and technical in the UFC, he is athletically gifted, and has an unbreakable mindset - all backed up by a nearly perfect MMA record. On top of all that, he's in his prime.
he made it through 5 longer rounds of more physically demanding MMA, i'm sure he has the cardio for 3 shorter rounds of boxing
That's great, but he's still not a boxer. Mayweather may not be in his prime, but for being 40 he's barely been touched. He knows how to win without getting hit hard probably better than anyone in the history of the sport. I bet if you added up the actual punishment these guys bodies have taken Mayweather is actually quite a bit less beat up.
You guys are going to be in for a surprise when they face off and you see that McGregor is noticeably bigger - height, reach, hand size, head size, everything. I put $750 on McGregor when the odds were 700+. Will be collecting my $5000 shortly.
