So this university requires that you pay like $35 per week for internet, and they register your MAC address on their servers if you want internet...

Now, there are two spare computers in the lab that i can borrow, both of who's MAC addresses are registered.

I can network that computer to two other computers. question is, how do i make it so i can have the registered one as the gateway? i want to use only software...

Any help?

Thanks

I like OpenBSD, but Im having a little trouble with the NAT rules. I blame it on the fact I havent had much time and my firewall died so I havent really tried too hard... Anyhow, its simple, all software, and works great for me

Closed BSD Sadly, I suspect OpenBSD source code is probably trojaned:

You will never know, Theo would not disclose. Many OpenBSD fixes are quietly merged into the tree and never brought to the public's attention, which is why some full disclosure security researchers have a problem with OpenBSD.

You could look at the source yourself. The only complaints I have heard are from people that dont check the errata page or the cvs server. All important bug fixes seem to make it into -stable and on the errata page.

EDIT: I just wanted to mention that they were supposedly going through an entire audit to make sure everything is cool. I havent had the chance to talk to any of the developers I know about it, so I have nothing official.

I'd agree with you in most cases, but CVS logs can be edited, and that 'X years without a local hole in the default install' is an important title for Mr. Deraadt, I'm not suggesting OpenBSD isn't a good operating system, I happen to like it, just find it a bit on the stark side If you're going to Defcon this year, you should check out my BSD security fundamentals presentation

I wish, after last year the company wont pay for it... :/

Hook me up with some notes or something though

There is a new "motto" on the OpenBSD site, not that it meant much to anyone except the people that hate OpenBSD...
