howdy. decided to take some detail pics before i started my build. but the amout of detail on this case is overwhelming so this is just a fraction.
so i figured out how to access the "built in tool drawer" - you remove the tiny philips screws on either side.

this is what was in the tool box. there are about 10 different screws here, and the little bag on the upper left hols the stuff needed to mount the 2.5" drives on the floor of the case. there are also other screws of different types and sizes not in this pic, which are used to hold the case together. i am planning to also store my set of snap on combination wrenches and long sleeve sockets in the tool drawer.

here is the bottom of the case and you can see the screws and rivets holding the uprights and and othe structual components. i am pointing to the spot for your 2x 2.5" drives to be mounted. first you put rubber grommets in the holes and then screw the drives into the grommets.

here is one of the little 2 position switches used to control the 2 side panel fans and the back panel fan. these are at the end of a 3 inch piece of wire hanging off the fans.

the 2x front fans are controlled by these little knobs here. the fans say that they are 3 speed, but these knobs spin freely, with no detents. they are also led fans, i am guessing (hoping) blue led's.

next is a series of pics showing the new mounting system "airmount" that are thick rubber cables with plastic hooks on each end and some othe plastic bits that allow you to attach the drive to the rubber cables. i know, my 80gb velociraptors are dusty, but they have been sitting on a basement shelf since i went to ssd's.

here you can see that the drives can be mounted front to back (much like my girlfriend) and with the connectors facing front or back.

sideways also, (much like my...). this is the way i expect most guys will do it, with the connectors facing away.

the cable bundle, including ground straps, and the usb3 cable with very long cable which does indeed go through the bottom pci cover with the cutout in it.

i didnt notice this the other day, but those trapezoidal shaped thingies on either end of the top/front i/o panel are in fact the power and reset buttons.

well thats it for now. next, i am either going to strip the entire case down to the frame, (prob not, sounds like to big of a job) or start my new build.
