I don't like Oprah, and I still can't help but recognize that she has brought a lot of people good with her book clubs, and talk show topics with a particular demographic.

You just said the most retarded thing. His wife left him. He actually tried to work it out. I have read 3 biographies on his life, BTW. And I also read one book on cycling which talked about him too. You should read and get the fact before ASSuming things.

His wife left him because the life of a cyclist is rough on families. They are hardly ever there and when they are, they need just as much maintenance and tending after as kids. It got too hard on her. BTW, she is living very comfortably now, and they have joint custody of the kids. Not only that, she and Lance are still on speaking terms.
