Laptop Hot Deals?

Ok this is my first post but I have been reading these forums for a while so I think that this is legal. Microsoft is giving you 20% back at certain retailers if you sign up for thier passport payment system. Anyway one of the merchants is mpsuperstore.com. They sell laptops, and if you buy one for around $2500 you save $500!. Isn't this a pretty good deal? I can't tell if their prices are all that great but I was thinking of getting a laptop and I thought this place looks good with the 20% off.

The VAIO Laptops after %20 discount (up to $500) is the cheapest
I've found. But, I haven't looked that hard.

Shipping is about $40 which is high.

I looked around a while at thier site. Looks like the best deal is a $2500 Compaq Presario 17XL375. You get PIII 750, 128 M, DVD, 14.1 Display, 20 Gig Hard drive. All for $2050 after cupon and shipping. I've been looking at laptop prices for a while and this seems like a pretty smoking deal.

I got a question..

Will the passport %20 off work on the 17XL375? It costs $2499.99 and shipping runs $47. That will put me over the $2500 limit. Is $500 just the max they'll refund? Or will they not give %20 off on orders over $2500?

If you are worried about technical things like that you should email or call becase they will know how they want the deal to be interpreted.
