Hi, I'm here in the endless attempt to try to fix the network problem that suddenly occurred on my HP dv8000 Pavilion when I went to update my Linksys WRT54G 1.1 Firmware.
I went through a lot of crap trying to get the laptop to connect effectively to the router again but so far no luck (other computers do connect fine). My primary problem right now is that my laptop will not let me update it's driver for the Broadcom Dell Wireless 1470. Everytime I try I get a "No Compatible Hardware Found" message even though my system detects and lists that exact piece of hardware.
I've read a few different things, one even saying that Dell will not update on systems that do not have a Dell bios (or something to that effect).
Any help is appreciated.
