Laptop protection in a sandy environment

I'm headed to a sandy place and would like to take my laptop. I'm told the sand is like talcum powder and gets into everything. I'd like to protect my laptop, if possible. Simply putting it under plastic would ruin the heat dissipation process since no air would flow.

Any ideas? I thought of doing the bag thing with a filter of some kind on each end. Note sure about the specifics; and I don't have much time to do testing.

Get the cheapest POS laptop you can find at the pawnshop or out behind the pool hall and keep it in multiple plastic bags. Take it out to use only in an A/C environment. If it goes to he!! throw it away and call it a lesson learned.

I concur. What exactly are you doing that requires you to be doing laptop work on a beach with sand "as fine as talcum powder"?
