So my Compaq x1030 laptop went bad and CircuitCity is giving me a replacement.
Would you take this deal:

It seems like your getting screwed a little but your getting a more inferrior product. The acer seems to have an shared video memory. no 1 IEEE 1394, in my opinion a slower processor.. well can you test it out? maybe it will a lot better than thats indicated on the spec differences.

Push for something else, this is why
1. I don't buy computers from B&M stores.
2. I don't buy laptops from any other company than IBM or dell, dell, not so much, I still need to try out their Latitude Series laptops before saying, "good bye" to their computers all together because the fate of "thinkpads" is unknown as of now.

Push for something else, this is why

the latitudes are the best imo, although they do get blasted hot. I'm not sure about the ibm's, but I don't remember their line of 600's getting very hot. I would say IBM over Dell.

and to the OP, I would push for something else. the acer isn't exactly the best laptop around. not that the compaq was either, but definitely not the acer.
