I decided to dust off the cobwebs from my ole laptop and upgrade the RAM in it.
It's a Hyperdata HB8603, K6-2 300mhz, 32mb ram
THe PC mem slot says: "this pc uses both standard and extended 144-pin 64-bit RAM SO-DIMM."
I ordered 2 X 64 mb, 144pin SODIMM, PC66, thinking that it would work.
I received the new RAM and plugged it in but it doesnt seem to be working.
DId I get the wrong RAM? or is the RAM DOA? SHould I have gotten the EDO RAM instead?
The previous working RAM is not clearly labeled, but I was able to identify it as a Kingmax MDR323E-46 (still not sure exactly what it is)
