I hope all from Christchurch are ok.
I hope all from Christchurch are ok.
Yeah, I was just thinking about Godless. The earthquake hit Chch at approx 12.50pm and he was last active at 12.30pm.
This ones a baddy.
Pretty sure he has moved to Auckland, which is 1000 miles north of the quake. Why do I know that? Creepy.

I hope for the best for all those involved down there. Re: Godless - what are the odds that this story (saw the link on a page with info on the earthquake) is about Godless or his brother Mike? http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/mp/8880014/typical-kiwi-bloke-stabs-himself-with-bayonet/
Hmm, while I bet that could be the average ATOTer, I don't think GA or MG would do that

This one has caused several. The first, and following aftershocks, didn't cause any, to my knowledge. Also, this one has caused very significant damage to buildings etc., with lots of buildings falling; whereas the first more caused buildings to have to be demolished.I did not know this.
That good for GA, I guess, though still a tragedy for everyone affected by the quake. It sounds like this one caused more fatalities than the last one
An update from NZ - just a few months after the last big quake in Christchurch they're hit with this one Thankfully my bro (GA) moved out of that city a couple of months ago and is up here in the North Island, as am I.
The city was lucky that the first quake hit at midnight and no fatalities occurred. This one has cause a LOT more damage and hit in the middle of the day. So far 17 deaths, though it will be more
RIP to my fellow countrymen.
I am glad to hear that Gayner and Godless are ok.
Isnt it weird that those two were the first i was worrying about when i heard about the quake on the news.
Yup, 65 dead. There will be more
Edit: i hope your family is safe GA & MG Do you guys have family from that area and are they accounted for?
glad to hear ga is alright... i knew he lived in christchurch.
and, wait, are you two seriously brothers? or are you saying that because you're both kiwis?
Twin brothers actually. Man I'm glad he moved up to Auckland.
For those that don't know (almost everyone because I don't really talk about it) I'm in the NZ Army Reserves. We've been put on 24hr standby to deploy down there. Civil defence is not part of our training protocol, and in NZ the army isn't normally part of our civil defence response - being called up for this gives an indication of how serious this is
edit: It occurred to me that "civil defence" might be a British/NZ term - it means disaster response in NZ parlance.
