Yeah, whatever. That's what I love about AnandTech - I spend 30 mins posting everything I know about almost every Strip hotel, and the one comment I get is that one. >>
calm down bro, i wasn't tryin to talk isht or nothing, just supplementing your recap, which i also found useful.
<< Here is my amended review of the Venetian (please note spelling, deez): >>
oh no, Venetian spellingpolice.
<< Venetian: Almost tied with Bellagio. Totally incredible place, with ABSOLUTELY the best regular hotel rooms (the crummiest of which is a cramped, cheepass, nasty 700sf). Service surprisingly good, restaurants are excellent, really feels like Italy. >>
you got that right
<< Oh, and for the record - I assume you (deez) gamble - if so, what the hell are you paying that kind of money for? I am a casual player at the Venetian, and I have yet to pay more than $50/nite, except Millenium NY Eve ($200). They have a deal going right now for $149/nite, buy one get one free, or $99 buy one get one free on selected days - plus you get 2x$25 airline vouchers and $25 in chips.

first time at the venetian, and my girlfriend, who likes to spend cash, wanted to stay there. what the hell can i do? i usually play at Luxor, and get comped there, but she was sick of that place (we go 2-3 times a year). i don't mind spending cash, as it comes and goes. in fact, i am taking california Bar this july, the day i get out (thurs) we are driving straight to Vegas, to stay at ... Bellagio. can you freakin believe it? i lost $1200, my friend lost $1700, we can get cheap rooms if we want, but she wants to stay at Bellagio, cuz of what it looks inside. i already have $800 saved up just for the room. pithy.
damn, losing $1200 will almost get me a comped hooker at the cheaper places, at Venetian boy that's small potatoes.
