You literally can hear the individual hair folicles explode in your chest as she passed the 5 inch wide laser bar over my chest. You need about 3-4 treatments because some hair follicles are mid-cycle and not destroyed. I would say after 1 treatment she got around 40% of my chest hairs.

"IIRC, laser doesn't work so well on thick, coarse, dark hair. Otherwise I'd be lasering the crap out of my throat/neck, that hair is totally worthless."

Actually I was told that the darker the hair the better as it is able to transmit the lasers energy better to the follicles. The whole point of this is the destruction of the hair follicles.

IS the treatment is permanent? Or will the follicles heal over time?

I've read it takes several treatments to get rid of the hair altogether. Each treatment thins the hair until it's either peachfuzz or gone altogether.

I don't like the hair on my balls and butt crack. I don't understand the point of having hair down there.

How painful is really painful? I used to think that all dental visits felt like having your teeth split with a hammer and chisel, but it turned out that I just have a huge tolerance for anesthetic.

Any pain less than that can be easily endured.

I'd get rid of all that hair that grows on my lower neck toward my adam's apple. . .not my bear now, just the part that I feel like I have to shave to make my beard attractive and well shaped. I'd probably zap the hair on my toes, too.
