No you can't buy 5 hosting plans and combine them into one super account so you can get 500mb storage, 30GB traffic ect.. for one domain. They have a structured fee if you want more of either of these.. But, the cool thing is if you just want all of your storage to go toward mail, you can email them/chat live and they will adjust it.

But, as far as paying for hosting now and not setting it up until you are ready, they seem very easy to work. Once you've paid by credit card or paypal, keep your confirmation. When you register your domain, go to their website and fill out the "hosting form" they have online. Submit that and they will setup your account in a week or so.

Regged a couple so far I'm a happy camper. Pre-purchased one more for a rainy day.

Okay, I had signed up with paypal a few years ago but never "verified" myself until recently (after reading the first post about this deal a week ago - when it was dead) in the hopes that this deal would come back. The thing is, my transfer from my bank acct. still says "processing", so I don't actually have any money in the acct. yet. I had added a credit card also, so can I instruct paypal to get the money from my cc to pay cyberwings? Also can someone please detail exactly the steps to pay with paypal?

Do I need to add the plan (Plan 5 by the way) in my cart on cyberwings first?
What "type" of payment is it? Service?

Should I include the "shipping info" so cyberwings can have that info even though nothing is being shipped?

Any other details would be helpful.

Thanks.

Methos, you don't need to be verified as a seller (i.e. register a bank account) in order to send paypal funds. Just add the credit card under "Profile" and it will show up as an option when you click "Send money" at the top. It will ask the email of the recipient -- put in sales@cyberwings.com and choose 'Goods-Nonauction.' In the message portion, tell them which plan(s) you are pre-purchasing. That's all for payment.

If you already have a domain, go here for the form and fill it out. Put in the transaction # from your paypal receipt (check your email) and you're set. If you don't have your domain yet, just fill out the form when you do.

**If you aren't going for the buy 5 get 1 free, you can just save yourself the worries and add whichever plan you want to your cart online at cyberwings.com. Pay with credit card and fill out the same form above with your transaction # they email you.**

RigorousT, Thanks for the info .

The reason why I wanted to pay with Paypal was because I was under the impression that they would let me choose either extra bandwith or space for paying w/ paypal. I don't remember where I read that, I think on cyberwings' site. This is not true? Or maybe the promo is over?

What's the best place to go to get Whois information for deomain names that are taken but not being used? Are they all the same or are any better than others? Also, does anyoen have preferences on who to use to register a domain?
THanks,

Thanks for the hot deal.

I already got 2 accounts with them and am very happy with service. Thinking about picking some more.

My question is, does account=domain?

Let say I have an account with them right now with domain.com, so a year later I decide to ditch domain.com and use blah.com instead. Can I just have them change my account from domain.com to blah.com or do I need to sign up for another account? Does that make sense?

Thanks.

<< fastz28, you can do that but it'll cost you $15. Read it here >>

Thanks, here's the info:

"Need to change domain names on a hosting account?
So you have your hosting account all setup and running, and it's been a month or two, but now you're done with that website and you want to take that domain name and put a new domain in that hosting spot's place. For a one time $15.00 swap fee, you can. This covers our time for changing billing, dns and new setup revisions. Why this high of a fee? We'd rather you buy another account than do all the changing work for changing an existing one. It's LESS work for us to create a new account than it is to change one, update billing, udpate DNS, etc. Common sense."

Ok, I paypaled them $2.10 which is one year of plan #1. So let me get this straight, if I don't want to use the account yet, I just stay at the point I'm at right now, but when I want to use it I just fill out that order form with my paypal transaction # (which I have to save?) Thanks in advance

Yep, what you're doing is essentially pre-ordering a hosting plan which is what I did. $19.50 got me 5 P5 plans with 1 free bonus P5. Of course now I gotta think of 6 domain names to register and complete the form.

Hey, Guy/Gal

It seem to me that every is just looking for short term solution! What about after a year? It may rate the price to ?? Say if you put all your stuff to this host plugs their CGI etc... the the price went up big time and you have to find another place ... Anyone think about this?

I'm havin' an incredibly hard time telling myself that this is LEGIT!

How in the WORLD can they offer say ONE THOUSAND accounts @ 3.90/YEAR that's $3900 for one year. Now, the transfer rates are what again? around 200-300K? and they said that we can have 6Gb/mo... right? I dunno, does this all compute? Maybe this was already asked in the other thread, but HOW can this guy offer this kind of SPEED, SPACE, and SERVICE @ such a low yearly price? I can't help but think that this guy is just going to go bankrupt! I mean, REALLY, think about this...it's so easy to scam like this, from what I understand. If he was selling a "product" perse, he could be sued for the value of that product, but the catch is he's selling a service, and only a promised service @ that. I mean, really, it's only $3.90. But to think of this many people getting ripped off @ ALL makes me SICK! I would just want to know this guys address U know? SOMETHING more definate, I guess.

It's just so easy to go out of business and take the $$$ and RUN! All he's out is ONE month of service from a highbandwidth ISP, the cost of a machine w/ about 100-500Gb (5 100Gig WD's could be had for VERY cheap w/ dell's 50 off of 400 coupon lately)

Does anyone else share my reservations? Please SOMEONE convince me that this is a LEGIT DEALIO! I WANT HOSTING! hehehehehe

Thanks for listening...and I think that I'd better post this in OT before I get flamed tooo bad

Thanks and God Bless
Tanner

You do make some good points Tanner and I have no idea how or even why they charge so little for there hosting services. Maybe you should post the same thing at the Cyberwings forums and see what you get for a response, that is if they don't remove it right away. I signed up for one account myself and I figure if something does go wrong with there company, its only 4 bucks.

Nate, just state in the subject or notes area of the PayPal form what you are ordering and you can contact them when you are ready to start with your site. Just be sure to save that email receipt from Paypal and maybe print out the confirmation form......Thats all I did.

Edit: If you already have a domain name, after paying with Paypal,go here and fill out this form and you should be set.
