Very easy to make that leap given:
1) XPP (?)
2) No mention of AMD in this WHOIS
3) The site is less than professional looking.
4) Nerdapalooza.com ? There isn't even a webserver on that domain.

This is definitely legit. I remember there was some controversy before they had the first event (due to the contacts not being @AMD.COM, prolly), but it's good as gold now.

What I can tell jcrash about Momentum.

Positives

1. I have called the telephone number and talked with someone at the business.
2. I got info from an AMD employee at a road show that a local company was doing the promotion.
3. According to a person who works for St. Louis County, the business pays its taxes on a timely basic for a few years now.
4. There is a real person name Steven M. Hoerner in the local phone book.

Negatives
1. No listing in the local phone book for the business.
2. Although the state of MO got 16 businesses registered link under Momtentum, I'm having hard time matching one entry to this business.
3. I'm yet to see in the local newspapers, on any radio stations, or on any television channels recently or anytime in the past a story about this company.

I did try to get someone at Momentum to take time to answer my questions. I was told that I should put my request in writing. Is that like the check in the mail ?
