Edit: I take that back. I saw some ultra-technical 3-man jazz group downtown last year. I don't remember their name, but it was fun and their technical expertise was mind blowing.

I saw BB King last year. It was a sad concert. He's basically not there and couldn't really even play guitar.

The crowd was horrible and kept yelling at him to play their favorite songs. He would try to play a song and get distracted or try to tell a story but get distracted.

He ended up playing 1 verse from Rock me Baby over and over for 2 hours.

Sad indeed. He recently cancelled a few shows here in NY at his Blues Club due to health issues. I hate to say it, but I don't think he's going to last too much longer with his weight and health concerns.

Too bad, Hopefully you caught him on a bad night but he is in his upper eighties now. I saw him just before he turned 80 and he did a tremendous and varied show. He's diabetic and his health has been bad for a long time, he couldn't really walk when I saw him but he sat on a stool and boogied there all night. Had a crackerjack band backing him up.


My last concert-folk musician Mark Erelli, doing a tribute show to the late Bill Morrissey. Was excellent, one of those don't miss shows if he comes to your area.

Linkin Park with 30 Seconds to Mars a few weeks ago.

I tend to see a few shows a month. Over the past year I've seen: Black Sabbath, Santana, Aerosmith, Avenged Sevenfold, Halestorm, In This Moment, Chevelle, Papa Roach, Bruce Springsteen, STP, and a few others.
