Going to see Zac Brown Band tonight. Not my usual type of show but they're talented and will likely have a good amount of special guests show up tonight.

Think the last show I saw before this was Weezer last year when they played the Blue album at the Ryman.

Nice. Machine is a buck list band. Saw Clutch last fall at a small venue. Would love to see Machine Head in small venue too.

Saw Failure about a month ago. Then two weeks ago got to see Hum! It was the first show of their tour. Which was the first in 16 years. They were amazing.

Queen Kong opened for failure and was pretty decent actually. Was nice to see Wes Borland, guitarist of Limp Bizkit fame, do something completely different.

I saw the Rolling Stones in Minneapolis in June with my fiancee's father. I paid $30 for "Lucky Dip" tickets (you buy them but have no way of knowing where they are located - you pick up a randomly-assigned envelope at Will Call). We ended up in the 26th row on the floor - just amazing seats, and a great show. My two previous shows were Metronome and Queens of the Stone Age, both last year.

one year bump? not bad.

i dragged myself out of my house to see Postmodern Jukebox, that YouTube band which does 30s/40s/50s styled covers of popular R&B songs.

they were good, but not great.

i used to go out a lot when i lived in brighton, around 2005~2007, saw Corrosion of Conformity, Clutch, Josh Winx, and a ton of alternative / garage bands.

it's just that live music doesn't excite me. As an ex-pro, i have a cynical view of music as a consumer product; i am more interested in how they do it, rather than what they do.

I went to Ronnie Scot's (live jazz) a couple of times while in London, but that place is just so expensive.
