May watch it soon. Sounds like it doesn't have a laugh track or any audience laughter which is the way I prefer for TV comedies. For example Portlandia and The Office don't have any audience or track laughter.

Seems like every episode is about Phil wanting to bang the hot girl but not being able to. Not sure how many more episodes they can make wrapped around that premise.

I also think it would make a funny recurring SNL skit, but I'm losing interest in it.

wtf are they doing with this show? either air 1 episode or 2, don't switch it up. when they air 2, my dvr doesn't seem to record it for some reason. I just found out I am an episode behind.

I am not finding it all that funny. However, I do find it interesting and do want to see what happens next.

Still not funny, Phil is suppose to be annoying, but is pushing me to the edge and it am not really enjoying the show.

That being said, I can't stop watching it - I want to see where they are going with it.

The show was somewhat amusing at first but it never really picked up steam. Besides Phil being not very likable, it is just not funny. The characters aren't interesting and I don't find myself caring what happens to them.

Plus, I find it rather annoying that they seem to add new people every other episode. Doesn't that defeat the original premise of the show?

I will probably finish watching this season just to see where they take it but I won't bother with it after that.

Apparently it has been picked up for a second season which is baffling to me. Meanwhile, "Backstrom", a far funnier show, will probably get the axe. Sigh.

I think that's where I'm at too. I also enjoy "Backstrom". lol.

The character of Phil reminds me of the Michael Scott character in "The Office". I'm not saying the shows are similar at all, but that's who I'm reminded of. The character never really learns anything from past mistakes...and is written with absolutely no tact or common sense.

I thought this last episode was a lot better than most of the ones before it. I don't think I'd call it funny, but it was a little fun to watch. I think most of that was due to Todd's expected jealous reaction.

That is kind of the whole point of the show. It's like Fawlty Towers in that way. If Tandy were a straight, honest, well-adjusted guy there wouldn't be much comedy.

I am in pretty much the same place. I guess if Tandy learned his lesson, the show would have no purpose, but I find his antics so cringe-worthy, I am now fast-forwarding through a lot of his scenes.

I have my DVR set to record each episode, so I may just leave it to do that and check in when a new one pops up on the guide, but I am not anxiously waiting the next episode.

Except Fawlty Towers was riotously funny for its time. This show mostly isn't (imho.) And yet, I've kept recording and watching, too. My best guess as to why has to do with the lure of "high concept" shows. The promise inherent in the "high concept" itself is the allure. Too bad this show doesn't deliver on it, at least for me.

Will Forte's character is simply endlessly annoying. John Cleese was effing hilarious.

It was good to see Kristen Schaal all dressed up and showing her assets. She looked pretty good! It made me think of some of the pseudo hawt female singer/celebrities and how mediocre and meh they really present absent all that makeup and aggressive costuming. Lady Gaga*, I'm looking at you!








*Even though, turns out, aside from her manufactured persona, she actually possesses musical talent.
