so i've been thinking about this a lot for the past hour.. My girlfreind was real upset yesterday and today, party becuase of school.. its getting down to the end of the semester and she has lots of tests and papers to study for... and she has to do good on all of them, so she's been real stressed out. And i know in the past, when she's been in one of those 'moods' she tends to get like this and sort of take it out on me. She just closes up and gets real negative. Usually she sleeps it off in one night and everything is better the next day. Which is why i was surprised to find that she was still acting like this today.
girls have the ability to turn their feelings on and off like a light switch, i dont understand it. SHe can be real nice and say "i love you" on minute and then get pissed off and not want to talk the next minute becuase the radio plays a song she doesnt like. but she's never said "we need to talk" before...
oh well..

I totally agree with you .. my gf also go to school 6 hrs away and we've been together almost 4 yrs now. Sometimes she did scare me with all those talk but usually it's because she's having a bad day or on her period. Just relax, be yourself, be supportive and be positive. Dont start thinking negative too much, it will ruin your relationship. DONT panic dude .. you guys are doing fine over the thanksgiving, i'm pretty sure it's nothing. Again, be supportive and try to really understand her situation .. you know, girl talk almost a different language .. Good Luck!

I wish. I can tell when I'm in a hormone induced bad mood but I can't do anything to turn it off. I wish I could; it'd be so much easier on my poor bf. The best thing you can do is take a guess at what reaction they want (aka, a hug, being left alone, etc. - usually the opposite of what they say they want) and do that for a while as a way to show you care. Us gals get back to normal fairly soon. And don't worry too much Danny.

skoorb, that is the worst.. whenever she gets mad i always think its becuase of something i did.. it never is though. It drives me crazy. why cant girls just deal with stuff normal like us guys? (not that complaining about it to people i hardly know on an internet message board is "normal"... but still.. she is making me go insane.)

I hope everything turns out OK. I know this is tough to do, but you can't let it get you down. My GF broke up with me once, and instead of dropping everything and wallowing in my pain, I got back up and studied for a physics test I had a couple of nights later. I did my work instead of shutting down. It was the best thing I could do. My friends were amazed... I just said "Well, failing my test won't do me any good..." Funny how reason prevails some times to get you out of a world of hurt.

Why stress over it. If she wants some space or want to break up, than let her go. I know it may be hard since you put a lot of heart and sould into the relationship. However, there are plenty of other girls out there. A person should not let another, regardless if it is spouse, or family. You come first before anyone else.

Dude, long distance relationships can work. However, "we need to talk" usually means she's having some doubts about her future with you so...sorry to say...it's not good.

well, the results are in.
and... well i'm not really sure what to think.
Basically she was just mad at the world i think. (cough PMS cough) and she was taking it all out me. Bringing up things that we got in arguments about over a month ago.. yelling about how i misspelled her name, how sometimes when i'm tired i dont sound believable, or dont sound like i mean things, how she thinks i'm like every other guy- and cant be with one girl (she thinks i'm going to want to go out and experience other girls, becuase i've only ever had sex with her.... she thinks i am going to want to go out and slut myself around later)
so after listening to her bitch at me for an hour... i calmed her down and just talked to her about things... tried to get her to realize how much i do love her and how serious i am about her... and after another 45 minutes or so i think she had calmed down enough and was starting to sound like her old self again. I even got her to say "i love you" back to me. So we ended the conversation on a good note. I think the relationship is going to be okay for at least one more day.
so... now i'm not sure if i should be happy that we are still together, or upset that things are kinda shakey like this... i guess i'll have to wait until i talk to her tomorrow to find out how things really are. I'll keep you all posted.

well Im glad to hear things are ok for the time being. My advice, go down there the next chance you get. Bring flowers or something nice too. If she says she's busy, say that's ok, and you will go, it was worth it just to see her for a little while. Maybe you don't want to continue this? ok. Just (now this will sound bad) keep your options open. I wouldn't shut the door now just because of a little menstural tiff. So maybe ou do want to see someone else, fine. Just may behoove you to have some options.

yeah.. i want to go see her this weekend, but i've got SOOO much work to do, and so does she, and i have an exam next sat. (yes... on the weekend.. how retarded is that ????!!!). My last day of class is the 12th, her last day is the 19th. So i'm not sure when i'll get to see her. Do you think it would be alright if i went and visited her after i finished classes? it would be during her exam week and she would have a lot of studying to do... i might get in the way. I cant wait 3 more weeks to see her though.
