The NRA seems to be sideways hugging the idea now as well, calling upon the government to review the legality of the devices. One would assume they wouldn't do this if their canvassing of R lawmakers didn't reveal some momentum to ban them.

It would be the NRA's preference I'm sure for the ATF to reverse their finding rather than see legislation passed. I'm not sure that's going to fly politically since lawmakers want to be seen doing something.

Best option seems to be adding bump stocks (and similar) to the NFA.

I haven't seen anybody address this part yet. I'd prefer a fee but it's not essential otherwise yea.

Initiate a buy back program to cover states that have NFA laws that would prohibit ownership and for people who may not want to own an NFA item.

flash hiders are perfectly legal, see the vid i posted before, they are not 100% effective. just as suppressors dont work as shown in movies.

they come in various designs, i cant tell from pics exactly what was on his rifles
