Tyranny just in your flavor. Cool.

Forced gun training for all!

You have forced home economics and shop for all. Forced math, English, History, Sex Ed, and a whole slew of other educational topics. What is so bad about gun safety/training?

I like that kids learn how to live. I don't think we need them to understand the most efficient way to kill.

Forced gun training for all! Paid for by us, too! Or are you forcing the trainers to work for free? Confused on that.

if getting an id to vote is too difficult for some, then so is paying for training. you cannot use this as a tactic to exclude low income groups from gun ownership

So I skipped a bunch of pages and I come back to the same old zealots arguing the same bullshit.

You try to present yourself as the calm voice of reason except you're not.

Since the shooting some 5000 people have died from tobacco in this country, roughly 500 of those (or ~8x as many as this shooting) are innocent victims of 2nd hand smoke.

I'd argue you're the real zealot here, an anti-2A zealot. The anti-2A side simply doesn't care about other things that kill us, it isn't about saving lives to you, it is about getting rid of guns or vastly restricting them. Partisan drivel.

Maybe you missed the part where you said everyone must buy a gun.

Civilized societies don't need guns and I'm not sure why focusing on the second amendment is important when people in this country don't participate in our democracy let alone understand how it works. Sure you can do both but I've never seen a modern day Republican politician and extension their supporters, support better quality education. So forgive me if I'm a little skeptical.

I'll tell you what though; the more the right keeps pushing back on reasonable gun control that's overwhelmingly supported by the majority of the public and the more the right prays and offers moments of silence while doing nothing to address the issues, the fonder I become of banning all guns. I'm not there yet but I hold no loyalty to a right that has only recently been interpreted to exist in its current form.

This is a silly argument as there are large amounts of regulations as to both who can purchase cigarettes, taxes designed to discourage their purchase, and restrictions on where you can smoke them. I will never understand this bizarre defensiveness among gun enthusiasts or these silly defenses like the earlier one where we apparently have to restrict voting access in the same ways we restrict gun access.

Stop trying to deflect away from the negative effects of gun ownership and defend it on its own merits instead of whatabout-ing cars, cigarettes, and whatever else you can think of.

I never said that. I said that everyone buying a gun MUST have education offered for free. I also stated every child on up should be introduced to gun safety as an educational course period. That is not the same as saying everyone must buy a gun. In your case a reading comprehension course might be prudent.

What's a gun for?

Launching a projectile forward.

My guns are used to train hand eye coordination, hit paper targets, and have fun doing so. That is what is a gun is for to me and many others.

Others use guns for their livelyhood and safety.

That vast majority of guns are used in those two ways above. VAST MAJORITY never have been used to kill any living thing.

Ah, the ol' majority tactic.

Your tyranny will be popular, that's true.

He's still an idiot but I remember a rifle team in the late 80s. Hell my Neice joined a non school shooting team 5 years ago.

Trap shooting teams for kids were prevalent in schools around here even in the 90s. Not sure if they are still around, but wouldn't understand why they would be gone.

Tyranny = making education about our second amendment rights mandatory?

I don't think you know the meaning of that word. Really in thinking about it further, I'm positive you don't know the meaning of that word.

Parents, I remember my Sister was given advice to tell other Parents my Neice was going to the Sports Club not the gun range.
