So 50 pages later, lemme guess... Nothing can be done about this..

I could repeat that year after year after year and as Americans seem to be getting stupider by the year (don't argue, Trump is your choice of president, you have no place to argue jack shit) it's not going to get any better.

Like I said before, I don't think much can be done with the 2A still in place. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Notice it doesn't say "the right of the militia to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" even though the militia was mention as a reason for arms. Any serious change is going to have to get rid of the 2A.

With the interpretation that is currently applying that has nothing what so ever to do with anything written in the 2A, I agree.

Organized militia much?

See my edit.

Why would i see your misquoted edit? Lets try again, "well organized militia".

Everyone knows what that means, literally every single one of us knows what it means including you but you want to play pretend that it means something other.

Why? Well you're a dishonest fuck that plays pretend about reality I guess.

Are we done here or do you need more abuse in your wanking sessions?

Why would it be misquoted? I copied and pasted the text. Yeah, we are done here because I'm not going to engage with someone who hurls insults. You should go educate yourself. Start with the wikipedia page on the 2A.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secon...ates_Constitution#Pre-Constitution_background

This mentions the right to self-defense and also mentions a codifying of an existing right and not creating a new one. This is why I think the way I do.

I'm glad you think laws from another country from the 1600's override the actual text all the founding fathers had to agree on before it was signed off. You also apparently disagree with how the supreme court interpreted the 2nd for 150 years until extremists decided that precedent no longer mattered.

Just some background to give context. Like I said to me the right to self-defense has always been there with or without a 2A.

I don't think it's going to work.

I don't think it works out well for Repubs either way. Anybody with a lick of sense knows that bump fire stocks are a step too far. Technicalities aside, if it works as a full auto weapon then it is one. So they have to go against some of the most radical elements in their base or alienate swing voters. That's why they're trying to put it off on Trump or better yet the nefarious deep state...

I'm not trying to ban guns because I'm afraid of them like many on this forum. Nor am I make really bad statements like most of the ridiculous "sensible" gun control that amounts to nothing which many on the left have bandied about.

I am making suggestions that would be to the benefit of all and make everyone safer. Proper education does not make things worse. Or do you think we should abolish the school system? Right now we force all kids in America through certain educational courses, and many of them are not just math, science, and literacy courses.

Your whole argument against such education stinks to high heaven of someone with a massive paranoia to guns or anything that may be related. Only those who have such paranoia would even be afraid of being taught anything about it. This isn't something stupid like "intelligent design" crap. This is about one of the MAJOR government decisions since the founding of this country. Do not try to equate the two either. Not saying you did, but trying to dismiss the education as not needed, akin to something like intelligent design as my example to an education that is not needed, shows your true colors.

You think that this country is capable of "proper education," that it works.

First, you seem to know what is proper education, and what will work. That teaching people what you think they need to know will magically fix their general stupidity about whatever we are talking about. You've been around long enough to understand that the average human, and especially American, is stubborn beyond the pale. Nearly half of this country would cut off their own fingers rather than "be educated" in a way that they don't want to be. That is the reality we live in. Holy shit: look at who the fuck our president is? How are we not the dumbest shitbricks on the planet? years of campaigning and decades of in-your-face education about this man, and enough people didn't give a shit about the truth, they just wanted to watch liberals cry.

What is your plan to educate these brain-leaking idiots?

Having the Constitutional right to do what we do are what makes us American. We can assemble, speak, keep guns and so forth because of this document and I don't want for any of them to vanish over the knee jerk reactions of a few snowflakes. While they spew their garbage and want to retain the right to continue doing so they vehemently attack the rights of other people that are of equal importance.

Group punishment is not the answer when we have a shooter just like its wrong when people assemble to protest and are not doing anything wrong are rounded up just because they were present when someone did something stupid.

The ability of one person to murder 58 people and injure some 500 more in just 8 MINUTES negates all of your post. All your ilk care about is your so called rights what about the rights of the victims to live and not get slaughtered?

The tree of liberty has to be watered with blood occasionally?

In all seriousness this event just underscores once again that no price is too great for the myth of protection that guns provide.

Paranoid hyperbole isn't the answer.

So we might as well scrap the whole education system then. I mean nothing works right? Just pure anarchy in the streets. Let the world sink into idiocracy because zinfamous thinks people in America can't be taught.

Reality check. Just because you are a dumbfuck that can't learn anything, doesn't mean other people can't. Expecting me to come up with a syllabus and game plan to educate people about gun safety, history, and training is not my specialty. There are people who's sole joy in life is coming up with such educational plans. I leave that work to the experts instead of people like you who would rather let everyone remain in ignorance.

If you don't believe the education system on a whole is working then you have no idea how truly dumb most people on average wore 100+ years ago.

Let's put things in perspective.

Heart Disease
Cancer
Diabities

All three kill way more than gun violence IMO, the processed foods we eat are slowly killing us. Yes, the massacre in Vegas was awful. Just like all the massacres before Vegas, but the chance that you'll die from one is still very low. But, the chance that you'll die from constantly eating the American diet is pretty damn high. It's just going to take 30 years.

You completely ignore the constitutional principle of due process which protects people from false accusation by forcing the accuser to prove that they are guilty of a crime by providing legal evidence. I'm glad that learned men wrote this document and don't want it any other way. I'll keep my right to bear arms of any kind thanks.

The right to bear arms doesn't include "arms of any kind", given the constitutionality of restrictions currently in place. At the time it was written, the Constitution only referenced black powder flintlocks. Breech loaders & rifled barrels were very rare while the percussion cap, metallic cartridges & smokeless powder had yet to be invented. The lethality of modern firearms was beyond their imagination.

at the time it was written military and civilians had the exact same arms. heck private corporations and some rich individuals owned the equivalent of a battleships, cannons, ect

I sorta agreed for a minute, then I realized that those slowly dying from a shitty diet are making that choice. You CAN choose to eat healthy and avoid crappy foods, but you CAN'T choose not to get hit with a bullet from a madman 32 floors up with dozens of automatic weapons.

Yes you can, just stay away from buildings that are more than 31 floors!

Problem solved, freedumb reigns!
