Latest 6800 gs drivers

Hi .How do I get the latest g force 6800gs drivers.I just installed a new card and the version of the drivers according to xp is12-10-2005 version8.1.9.8.
After 1 week the new machine is almost unusable.When it starts up the pc speaker sounds like a machine gun and then I get either 2 or three beeps.Machine is very squirrely and i have to shut it off.I am hoping it is the video drivers.Any thoughts.Thanks a lot.Also can Riva tuner do this.It is the only thing i installed.

what are your systems specs, it sounds more serious than just driver issues

Just wondering if you hooked up a molex connector from the power supply to the card. If you did you might want to double check that it didnt come loose. Or try a different "line" ie. one not been shared with the hard drives.

Could also be a problem with your PSU not putting out enough watts. What type / how big?

Hi .Asrock 939 dual sata2 board
Ge force 6800gs
1 gig ddr-unknown
Athlon 3200+
I don't know who made the ram as they have spreaders on them.
I just rebooted with last known good config option and it stopped the nonsense.
I then un installed Riva tuner and so far all is well.I suspected the video drivers but now i think it was Riva tuner causing the problems.The only option I set up in Riva tuner was the fan speed controller.It did lower fan speed but a few days later computer got real unstable.
I guess I'll have to tolerate the loud video card fan noise.Although the video processor never got above 47 c. Beats me.
Thanks for any more ideas.

er....audio drivers? does not sound video related, and it definitely isn't being caused by simply changing fanspeed controls with RivaTuner.

If that is before you reach the OS then the video drivers have not been initialized.

You should get a consistent number of beeps. Listen to it again and give us a definite number.

Thanks Kevin.
It's running perfect since I uninstalled Riva tuner softaware.Could be a fluke.
Also it was making the strange machine gun,like a held down key,noise immediately at startup and 2-3 beeps,it varies at first screen.

But it's seems ok now.This is a new build so too much is suspect.
Can I change the fan on the 6800gs card to something less noisy or is that possible.

I just ask BFG support and they said none of the new driver will work with their 6800GS AGP, the only driver that working is inside the box. Need to wait for new driver ...
