Yeah tournament can be rough. Some moves / abilities seem to be vastly more powerful than others.

A sound strategy: If someone has a high set of stats, they most likely don't have a weapon (and if they do, it's only one). Strength is counteracted by agility, and agilty is counteracted by speed.

About getting pupils that give exp, it's actually even more complicated than just getting new IP and browser. I tried changing IPs and using a second browser, and various combinations of that but it didn't seem to work.

After much experimentation, I finally found a way to get pupils that give exp reliably using the same computer.

What you need:

1) A way to switch IP addresses. You may need to do funky stuff to your router / settings. I'm directly connected to my school's ISP and I just change it using a 'manually configured' IP settings from windows.

2)A Linux LiveCD and optionally Virtualbox (virtualbox.org). Personally, I used Linux Mint because it is easy to use and has the latest flash plugin, unlike most of the lighter distros. Anyway, set it up and boot into your LiveCD. You could probably skip virtualbox and boot directly, though personally I like to use emulation so I keep my stuff on my main setup.

What you need to do is switch your IP, and then boot into your LiveCD. Then go to whatever.mybrute.com and fight. From my experience, you can give exp. to 2 different brutes before it stops working. Then you need to change your IP, and REBOOT. I don't know why, but just clearing your cache/switching browsers isn't enough, you have to reboot.

(lmk100 was when I tried to clear cache without rebooting. lmk97 was when I rebooted without changing IPs.)

I had a character with the shuriken. Its totally unbalanced. You get so many hits in and they just stand there and die.

I dont mind that its random, but when my characters dont bring out their weapons and just use their fists that is kind of gay. No wonder they lose so much.

Got eliminated in the tournament during my 9th fight.
All I got to say is...
Tournaments are Flawed.
After my 7th fight it seemed that character levels just steady increase, the last battle was between a level 50 and 60 some character. That is gay considering no low level stands a chance to win and I don't even get any exp from the fights I win.

Did you not read anything? Page 5 says that it cannot be done on the same computer, I'm here giving you guys who dont have access to 50 different computers a method to get it to work. And as far as I can tell, nobody else has been able to do it. So you guys definitely did not "figure this out already". So either you have reading comprehension problems or just have a tendency to put down other people's efforts.

Keep on reading. It later says it must be done from separate computers, then on the 2nd or 3rd post on page six it mentions unless you do it with a separate IP address. I just merely pointed out where the discussion started. It's also mention again later in the thread too.
