Same here, so I'm waiting for the Nokia 6600 to be released. Mostly the same features as the 3650 but smaller.

The deals at Letstalk seem good and you only need a 1 year contract for the Cingular plan I am looking at. (Yes I know Cingular sucks, but its my gf who has it, I am just trying to get free mobile to mobile with her.) Anyways, has anyone gotten or seen a good Cingular deal in Rowland Heights, Ca?

Thanks

metro PCS is good in my area. I've heard bad stuff too but since they have the nokia phone it's better.

looks like you need tweezers to operate the c350.. and you have to alternate the phone from your mouth to your ear to talk/speak =P

Ahhh, just when I needed it too. I had to walk on I-75 for a few miles at night last weekend b/c my car was incapacitated and I had no cellphone--not fun But if I only want a cellphone for emergency purposes, in what company (and plan?) should I be interested? I don't like phones and do not want to pay a lot for either the hardware or services. Could some of you recommend the best avenue? I live in Florida and so perhaps the rates differ from where you are.... TIA.

Have you considered a prepaid plan? I've never looked into them, but if you aren't going to be using it much, then this might be a good option for you. How about the Att Go phone?

prepaid is mos def a good option for those who dont make too many calls... carried by the bigger carriers means good service too.

I've never had a cell phone before but i'm pretty interested in getting one. There's so many choices though that I have no idea what to get. But I do have a question concerning those plans. I don't see any info about how much it will cost per month. All it shows is that after rebates and stuff I could get like 20 dollars back and i'll be signed up for like a 2 year contract. But what is the monthly plan?

Also, I looked at the AT&T GSM deal for the Nokia 3650. So is that a pretty good phone? Any other really hot phones listed? If it helps, I'm down in San Diego.

For existing customers, Wallyworld (Walmart) is a good place to check if you are nearing the end of your contract. I went in there on Saturday and got a Motorola T720 for my Alltel service for $39.65 (plus tax on $139.65) after $100 MIR. And I only had to sign up for a 1 year agreement. Alltel stores required a 2 year commitment to get the phone at that price. Can you say "No way"?

Anyhow, I am very pleased.

Unfortunately, a week or so ago you could get the 3650 FAR with only a 1 year contract through amazon, but it appears the promotion has passed. As far as letstalk is concerned, once you click on the "buy now" option, you will be taken to a list of available plans ranging from $19.99/month on up. Click on the plan you that is in your price range.

I've had a 3650 for a week now. I research my available options and from the reviews and comments I've seen, it was a good buy. I am happy with the reception on the phone and I'm excited about using more of the bells and whistles (e.g. bluetooth...but I need an adapter). You can sync your address book with the phone as well as other things that I have yet to try. It also comes with a 16MB MMC The polyphonic ring tones are nice, but are kind of faint, especially in noisy situations. The vibrating ring is also weaker than other phones. Lastly, when the speaker phone is used, the case tends to buzz at higher volumes. I know, I've focused on the bad, but really....that's all I can say that I've had issues with.
The camera is neat (you can take pics of friends and have their thumbnail show up when they call), but in no way is it a necessity (at least for me). I really enjoy the voice dialing and speakerphone (despite what I previously mentioned). The color screen is very large and I'll never go back to a non-color (duh). Some may think the phone is a little bulky, but it is only slightly larger than a lot of the other Nokia models. I'm quite content, especially getting this phone FAR. PM me if you want some additional info.

I bought a Nokia phone from ATT last year and the rebate came in about 45 days, which in the land of rebates, is pretty darn quick.
