<< 4000 lbs is not 4 tons, I wonder if some of the people on here ever went to school. 2000 lbs is a ton so 4000 is 2 tons. >>
You need to brush up on your comprehension skills. There is no place on this whole page where a single person equates 4000 lbs. to 4 tons. Someone says 4 tons but never once tries to convert it to lbs. Maybe they wanted to buy 330 spools. >>
Umm...you're wrong here, looks like YOU need to brush up on those comprehension skills you're talking about..

Hm....I wonder how much it's gonna cost to ship 4 tons of cables? Can't imagine UPS man bring 4 tons of cables up to my house. I live in da 2nd floor. I really though this will go through....at most they will ship you 170 fts of cables....

As you see, this person bought 170 of something, thinking that its "4 tons" but really 4000lbs or 2 tons...and saying worst thing that can happen is they'll send him 170 FEET not spools.
Anyway, his mistake is understandable. The whole US measuring system is out of whack. Metrics make sh*t so much easier. Maybe someone was thinking of metric system, cause everything is in powers of 10.
1000g=1kg
1000kg=1ton
1000ml=1L
etc etc. So don't jump on someone's back for mistakenly saying 4000lbs is 4 tons, its a little harder to comprehend why a ton would be 2000 lbs, i know i was shocked when I found out (in junior high )
